A reproduction control method, which is executed by a computer, includes detecting a first state in which an object is separated from an operation surface by a prescribed distance and a second state in which the object is in contact with the operation surface, initiating sound reproduction at a first time point at which the first state is detected, continuing the sound reproduction from the first time point to a third time point which is subsequent to a second time point at which the second state is detected, and controlling a change in a feature amount of a sound during a first time period from the first time point to the second time point.

Tactile touch sensor system and method

A tactile touch sensor (TTS) system and method allowing physical augmentation of a high-resolution touch sensor array (TSA) is disclosed. Physical augmentation is accomplished using a TSA physical overlay (TPO) placed on top of the TSA. The TPO is constructed to transmit forces to the underlying TSA. Force transmission is accomplished by either using a flexible overlay or with a rigid mechanical overlay that transmits user forces exerted on the overlay to the underlying TSA. Incorporation of TPO identifiers (TPI) within the TPO permits identification of the TPO by a TPO detector (TPD) allowing operational characteristics of the TSA to be automatically reconfigured to conform to the currently applied TPO structure by a user computing device (UCD). The UCD may be configured to automatically load an appropriate application software driver (ASD) in response to a TPI read by the TPD from the currently applied TPO.

A voice processing method realized by a computer includes compressing forward a first steady period of a plurality of steady periods in a voice signal representing voice, and extending forward a transition period between the first steady period and a second steady period of the plurality of steady periods in the voice signal. Each of the plurality of steady periods is a period in which acoustic characteristics are temporally stable. The second steady period is a period immediately after the first steady period and has a pitch that is different from a pitch of the first steady period.

A sound signal synthesis method includes inputting control data representing conditions of a sound signal into a neural network, and thereby estimating first data representing a deterministic component of the sound signal and second data representing a stochastic component of the sound signal, and combining the deterministic component represented by the first data and the stochastic component represented by the second data, and thereby generating the sound signal. The neural network has learned a relationship between control data that represents conditions of a sound signal of a reference signal, a deterministic component of the sound signal of the reference signal, and a stochastic component of the sound signal of the reference signal.
