20230044481 · 2023-02-09 ·

An apparatus and method for providing a musical instrument effects unit with transistor bias voltage visualization are disclosed. An example embodiment includes a musical instrument effects apparatus with transistor bias voltage visualization, the apparatus comprising: a transistor amplifier; a bias control coupled to the transistor amplifier to adjust an active bias voltage setting for the transistor amplifier; and a bias voltage meter coupled to the transistor amplifier to monitor, measure, and enable visualization of the active bias voltage setting, the bias voltage meter including a visualization device to produce a visual representation of the active bias voltage setting.

Sampler for an Intelligent Cable or Cable Adapter

A specialized audio/instrument cable with built-in digital signal processing capabilities that adds digital audio sampling capabilities that allows the user to trigger synthesized sounds or virtual musical instruments from within the cable itself to affect the sound generated from an instrument or microphone such that the cable is the only connection needed between the instrument or microphone and an output device. Using voice recognition, the specialized cable can select an audio effects chain algorithm and/or sampled sound algorithm extrapolated from a musical digital audio fingerprint (MDAF) created from a desired musician's instrument to alter the sound of the input instrument's audio.

Multiple example valve amplifiers are provided. A first example valve amplifier is provided which comprises (i) a valve power amplifier switchable between a high-power mode and a low-power mode and (ii) a loudspeaker simulator circuit, the valve amplifier being configured such that the valve power amplifier drives the loudspeaker simulator circuit in the low-power mode. A second example valve amplifier is provided which comprises a switched-mode power supply, SMPS, system), the SMPS system comprising (i) an SMPS and (ii) circuitry configured to enable an output impedance of the SMPS to be switched between first and second output impedances, the first output impedance being lower than the second output impedance.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

An electronic device having circuitry configured to perform source separation on an audio signal to obtain a separated source and a residual signal, to perform feature extraction on the separated source to obtain one or more processing parameters, and to perform audio processing on a captured audio signal based on the one or more processing parameters to obtain an adjusted separated source.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING A MODAL PROCESSOR

The implementation of modal processors, which involve the parallel combination resonant filters, may be costly for applications such as artificial reverberation that can require thousands of modes. In one embodiment, the input signal is decomposed into a plurality of subbands, the outputs of which are downsampled. In each downsampled band, resonant filters are applied at the downsampled sampling rate, and their output is upsampled and filtered to form the band output. In these and other embodiments, a feature of responses of the mode filters have been optimized to minimize an aspect of a residual error after a point in time.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ONBOARD, REAL-TIME PICKUP BLENDING FOR ELECTRIC GUITARS AND BASSES
20230049331 · 2023-02-16 ·

Systems and methods for onboard, real-time pickup blending for electric guitars/basses may utilize every possible tonal combination that double coil pickups can offer. The industry standard pickup toggle switch may be removed from electric guitar/bass instruments. Instead of a user being limited to only using one pickup at a time to be selected, the user may mix in any combination of the pickups (top, bottom, or both) at any time. Accordingly, multiple pickups can be on at the same time and/or the user may blend in (or out) any percentage of any of the pickups that the user wishes to create a large combination of tones.

Dynamic Pedal and Display

A small (smartphone-sized or tablet-sized), foot-enabled, flat, tiltable, rotatable, dynamic touch screen pedal and controller that uses a tilt mechanism to toggle between and select different audio (or other) functions and effects that are displayed on the attached display. The tilt of the device as well as optional tapping sequences activate different functions in predetermined function locations. Specific audio effects, audio effect presets, loops, songs, and controller functions can each be assigned to different touch screen locations, pedal buttons, and/or tilt directions.
