AIDING DEVICE FOR SINGING ON PITCH
20230047749 · 2023-02-16 ·

Examples of an aiding device for singers are described. The aiding device comprises a body that has a periphery edge, a top wall and a smooth inner wall. The top wall curves away from the periphery edge thus forming a cup-like cavity which is shaped to define a first chamber and a second chamber that are interconnected together. The first chamber is shaped and sized to fit over an earlobe of a singer while the second chamber has a distal end that is designed and configured to be positioned in proximity to a user's mouth. When in use the first chamber encloses one of user's ears and the distal end of the second chamber is positioned in proximity to user's mouth with the periphery edge pressed against user's face such that a sound produced by the user is captured and travels into the second and first chamber and is reflected back from the smooth inner wall producing echo within the cavity. Thus, the unfiltered sound coming out from the singer's mouth is provided to one of the singer's ear in real time and hear the original sound or key in the other ear so that the singer can match his/her pitch to the original sound.

AUDIOVISUAL COLLABORATION SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH SEED/JOIN MECHANIC

User interface techniques provide user vocalists with mechanisms for seeding subsequent performances by other users (e.g., joiners). A seed may be a full-length seed spanning much or all of a pre-existing audio (or audiovisual) work and mixing, to seed further contributions of one or more joiners, a user's captured media content for at least some portions of the audio (or audiovisual) work. A short seed may span less than all (and in some cases, much less than all) of the audio (or audiovisual) work. For example, a verse, chorus, refrain, hook or other limited “chunk” of an audio (or audiovisual) work may constitute a seed. A seeding user's call invites other users to join the full-length or short-form seed by singing along, singing a particular vocal part or musical section, singing harmony or other duet part, rapping, talking, clapping, recording video, adding a video clip from camera roll, etc. The resulting group performance, whether full-length or just a chunk, may be posted, livestreamed, or otherwise disseminated in a social network.

CONTROL DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL SYSTEM

Provided are a control device, a control method and a control system. In a control system, a headphone and a pedal device are in communication with each other through first communication, and the pedal device and a portable terminal are in communication with each other through second communication. Accordingly, even when the headphone can be connected to only one control device, a control instruction from the pedal device can be transmitted to the headphone through the first communication, and a control instruction from the portable terminal can be transmitted to the headphone through the second communication and the first communication.

Sampler for an Intelligent Cable or Cable Adapter

A specialized audio/instrument cable with built-in digital signal processing capabilities that adds digital audio sampling capabilities that allows the user to trigger synthesized sounds or virtual musical instruments from within the cable itself to affect the sound generated from an instrument or microphone such that the cable is the only connection needed between the instrument or microphone and an output device. Using voice recognition, the specialized cable can select an audio effects chain algorithm and/or sampled sound algorithm extrapolated from a musical digital audio fingerprint (MDAF) created from a desired musician's instrument to alter the sound of the input instrument's audio.

A pedal device receives a connection signal transmitted from headphone to establish first communication that is communication with the headphone. Then, in a case where the first communication has been established, the pedal device transmits the connection signal including information indicating that communication with the headphone has been established. By receiving the connection signal from the pedal device, a portable terminal establishes second communication that is communication with the pedal device. In a case where the received connection signal includes information that the communication with the headphone has been established, the portable terminal may determine that communication establishment between the pedal device and the headphone has been completed.

WIRELESS MULTI-STRING TUNER FOR STRINGED INSTRUMENTS AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF USE
20230011098 · 2023-01-12 ·

A stringed instrument tuner that senses the vibration of all the strings of the instrument independently and simultaneously via ultraviolet reflective light sensors that are immune to interference from ambient alternating-current lighting. The pitches of the strings are then measured continuously in real-time and transmitted wirelessly to a receiver that simultaneously graphically displays how far out-of-tune all of the strings are so that the musician can instantly see which strings need tuning and tune them quickly. The receiver may be a smartphone, smartwatch, smart glasses, computer, self-tuning system, or a dedicated wearable receiver-display unit.

The present invention provides a chordophone including a body configured to have a top plate, a bottom plate, and a side plate connected to the top plate and the bottom plate, which comprises: a cut-out plate formed by cutting the bottom plate, and configured to have a grille formed on a portion penetrated of the cut-out plate; a bracket formed in a shape corresponding to the cut-out plate and configured to have a base plate coupled to an inner side of the cut-out plate; and a speaker unit configured to have a speaker installed in the bracket, a control unit for controlling an output of the speaker, and a communication module for allowing a sound source output from the speaker to be received from an external user terminal, in which the grille is formed in a size and shape corresponding to a diameter of a side on which a sound of the speaker is output, and a through-hole is formed penetrated on the base plate at a corresponding position to the grille and with a corresponding shape to a shape of the sound output side of the speaker.

Musical instrument pickup signal processing system

Systems and methods for creating a digital audio filter, such as an impulse response filter, using a pickup audio signal provided to an instrument signal capture device and a microphone signal provided to a mobile device are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes capturing a first audio signal using a signal capture device, performing frequency analysis on the digitized first audio signal to generate a frequency response spectrum representation, transmitting the frequency response spectrum representation of the first audio signal from the signal capture device to a mobile device, capturing a second audio signal using a microphone on the mobile device, performing frequency analysis on the at least one digitized second audio signal using the mobile device to generate a frequency response spectrum representation, and generating a digital audio filter from the frequency response spectrum representations of the first audio signal and the second audio signal.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE, ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, AND METHOD THEREFOR

In an electronic device for an electronic musical instrument, a determination grace period during which a plurality of operations on the electronic musical instrument by a user are determined to be simultaneously performed for the first section is set based on the data included in a first section of the song having a plurality of sections. Automatic accompaniment is advanced from the first section to the next second section when a user operation of the electronic musical instrument is detected outside of the determination grace period for the first section during the playback of the first section of the accompaniment, and automatic accompaniment is not advanced from the first section to the second section when the user operation of the electronic musical instrument is detected within the determination grace period for the first section during the playback of the first section of the accompaniment.
