20220415295 · 2022-12-29 · ·

Provided are an electronic cymbal and a case attachment method with which even when a case is attached to a frame, the distribution of hit sensitivity against a hit on the frame is uniform. In this electronic cymbal (1), the case (8) is attached to the frame (4) by fitting an outer peripheral hooking section (8b) of a case (8) into an outer peripheral support section (4b) of a frame (4), and fitting an inner peripheral enclosing section (8d) of the case (8) into the inner peripheral side of the frame (4). These components can be mounted without forming a screw hole in the frame (4) and screwing the case (8) and the frame (4). Thus, it is possible to suppress the stress concentration on a specific position of the frame (4) due to the screwing, and to uniformize the distribution of the hit sensitivity on the frame (4).

An electronic percussion instrument, a stroke detection device, and a stroke detection method which can improve stroke detection accuracy are provided. A thickness dimension (L2) of an upper cover part (5b1) is approximately constant from the inner circumferential side to the outer circumferential side in a region facing the upper surface of an outer circumferential part (4b3) of the frame bow part (4b) (a concave part formed according to a level difference between a bent part (4b2) and the outer circumferential part (4b3)). Accordingly, the entire upper cover part (5b1) is easily deformed such that it is bent when struck, and thus a protrusion part (5b3) can be securely pressed to an edge sensor (7b) according to deformation of the upper cover part (5b1). Therefore, the accuracy of detection of a stroke applied to the upper cover part (5b1) can be improved.

An electronic performance device includes a storage mechanism 1, a detection mechanism 2 and an output mechanism 3. The storage mechanism 1 is configured to store data waveforms per level of hit strength. The detection mechanism 2 is configured to transmit a detection signal at the time of hitting. The output mechanism 3 is configured to output data waveforms corresponding to the hit strength indicated by the detection signal. The storage mechanism 1 stores basic data waveforms corresponding to each level of strength of a hit on a musical instrument. An additional element that is produced based on waveform data extracted separately from the basic waveform data and applicable to multiple levels of the hit strength. The output mechanism 3 outputs output waveform data where the additional element is applied to the basic waveform data.

Electronic percussion instrument and sound production control method thereof

An electronic percussion instrument and sound production control method thereof are provided. In an electronic cymbal, the output of a musical sound is controlled in accordance with the results of detection from a strike sensor when the strike sensor detects a strike on a striking surface. While the musical sound is output, if a user touches the striking surface, an electrostatic capacitance sensor outputs an output value in accordance with the contact condition so that the musical sound is attenuated in accordance with the output value while being output. Therefore, the user can attenuate the musical sound being output in accordance with the contact conditions on the striking surface, thereby silencing the musical sound by way of the action similar to that of the acoustic cymbal choke that is the action of touching the striking surface.

A drumhead includes a membrane with ferrous responsive material printed onto a surface or otherwise incorporated into it. The ferrous responsive material is detectable by an electromagnetic sensor such that striking the membrane causes vibration that is detected by the sensor, which may initiate an acoustic sound via a sound module. The drumhead may thus be used in an electronic drumming system without requiring fixation of a foreign object to a surface of the membrane.
