Systems and methods for transferring musical drum samples from slow memory to fast memory
An electronic-drum module for connection to one or more electronic-drum pads is provided. The module includes an electronic display; a first memory storing audio files for playback when the playback is triggered by a signal received from a pad; and one or more processors coupled to the display and the memory. The processors are configured receive an instruction to transfer a set of samples. The set of samples is associated with a priority-instruction and includes a first subset of samples and a second subset of samples. The processors are also configures to transfer the first subset of samples from a second memory to the first memory based on the priority-instruction before transferring the second subset of samples and to transfer the second subset of samples from the second memory to the first memory.
INFORMATION RECEPTION SYSTEM, RECORDING MEDIUM, AND INFORMATION INPUT METHOD
An information reception device is provided with: operation surface which is adjusted to produce a characteristic index vibration by an object contact; a storage device stores candidate information (candidate information is related with the index vibration) which serves as a candidate of input information; a microphone which acquires observation information according to observation of the actual vibration arising in the surrounding environment; and a CPU. The CPU (selecting part) judges whether or not the index vibration exists in the observation information acquired. When the CPU judges that the index vibration exists, the CPU selects the candidate information which is related with the index vibration as the input information.
ELECTROACOUSTIC TRANSDUCER
An omnidirectional electroacoustic transducer capable of reproducing a sound with high acoustic quality and sufficient sound volume in a wide frequency band is provided with a small number of components. The electroacoustic transducer includes: two or more electroacoustic transduction units each including an electroacoustic transduction film and an elastic supporter, the electroacoustic transduction film having a polymer composite piezoelectric body in which piezoelectric body particles are dispersed in a viscoelastic matrix formed of a polymer material having viscoelasticity at a normal temperature, and two thin film electrodes laminated on both surfaces of the polymer composite piezoelectric body, and the elastic supporter being disposed to be closely attached to one principal surface of the electroacoustic transduction film so as to cause the electroacoustic transduction film to be bent, in which the two or more electroacoustic transduction units are disposed so that the electroacoustic transduction films face outward and form some or all of faces of a polyhedron.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR RECORDING SOUND
An apparatus for recording sound of an instrument is disclosed. The apparatus has a contact microphone configured to contact the instrument, and an ambient microphone. The ambient microphone is configured to record ambient sound at a location of the instrument as a first signal or data. The contact microphone is insensitive to air vibrations and is configured to record vibrations of the instrument as a second signal or data.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
A musical instrument includes: an acoustic portion that makes sound in response to vibration; an exciter that includes an exciter body and a vibrating portion vibrating with respect to the exciter body, and excites the acoustic portion; and a support portion that is attached to the acoustic portion and supports the exciter body such that the vibration is transmitted from the vibrating portion to the acoustic portion. The support portion supports the exciter body such that the exciter body is elastically displaced with respect to the acoustic portion. A resonance frequency of a vibration system including the exciter body and the support portion is lower than the lowest resonance frequency of the acoustic portion.
ELECTRONIC PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT AND HIT DETECTION METHOD
Provided are an electronic percussion instrument and a hit detection method. An overhang portion constituting the outer edge part of an edge frame is positioned further radially outward than the outer edge of a bow frame. Consequently, when the overhang portion is hit, the vibration resulting from the hit is detected by an edge sensor attached to the edge frame. In this way, it is possible to detect whether the overhang portion (the edge portion of an electronic cymbal has been hit by means of vibration detection by the edge sensor instead of by means of pressure detection by a sheet sensor.
REPRODUCTION CONTROL METHOD, REPRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM
A reproduction control method, which is executed by a computer, includes determining, based on an image showing an object, whether a type of the object is a first type or a second type that is different from the first type, and reproducing a sound, triggered by a striking of an operation surface by the object, based on a result of the determining.
REPRODUCTION CONTROL METHOD, REPRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM
A reproduction control method, which is executed by a computer, includes detecting a first state in which an object is separated from an operation surface by a prescribed distance and a second state in which the object is in contact with the operation surface, initiating sound reproduction at a first time point at which the first state is detected, continuing the sound reproduction from the first time point to a third time point which is subsequent to a second time point at which the second state is detected, and controlling a change in a feature amount of a sound during a first time period from the first time point to the second time point.
Electronic cymbal and bell part sensor installation method
An electronic cymbal and a bell part sensor installation method are provided. The electronic cymbal includes: a disk-shaped frame; a frame bell part which is configured at a center of the frame in a top view; a bell part sensor which is attached onto the frame bell part in a circumferential direction and detects a hit on the frame bell part; and a cover which covers the frame and the bell part sensor and has a surface formed as a hit surface, wherein the bell part sensor is separated in at least a radial direction of the frame bell part.
Electronic percussion instrument and musical sound generating method
An electronic percussion instrument capable of simulating a rendition of an acoustic percussion instrument is provided. The electronic percussion instrument includes a housing, a percussion surface attached to the housing, a pressure sensor disposed on a central section of the percussion surface on a side of the back surface and configured to detect pressing against the central section, a head vibration sensor disposed on a peripheral section of the percussion surface on the side of the back surface and configured to detect vibrations of the peripheral section, and a rim vibration sensor disposed at a position overlapping the head vibration sensor when seen in a plan view of the percussion surface and configured to detect vibrations of the housing.
