Techniques for digitally rendering audio waveforms and related systems and methods
Described herein are techniques for synthesizing waves (e.g., audio waveforms) at various frequencies. For example, techniques described herein may be used to render musical notes by generating audio waveforms. According to some embodiments, the techniques generate a wave table for an audio waveform based on a set of partial waveforms. The system determines a set of notes with a corresponding entry in the wave table and determines a set of partials for each note. The system renders, for each note, an associated waveform comprising the associated number of partials for the note from the set of partial waveforms.
Transducer apparatus for an edge-blown aerophone and an edge-blown aerophone having the transducer apparatus
This disclosure provides a transducer apparatus for an edge-blown aerophone, the edge-blown aerophone having an aerophone embouchure hole. An aerophone speaker delivers sound to a resonant chamber of the aerophone via the aerophone embouchure hole. An aerophone microphone receives, via the aerophone embouchure hole, sound in the resonant chamber. A housing provides a lip plate with a housing embouchure hole independent and separate from the aerophone embouchure hole. Breath sensors sense breath applied across the housing embouchure hole. An electronic processor, connected to the speaker, receives signals from the microphone and the breath sensors. The breath sensors provide signals indicative of breath strength. The electronic processor generates an excitation signal which is delivered as an acoustic excitation signal to the resonant chamber by the aerophone speaker. The electronic processor uses the signals it receives to determine a desired musical note which a player of the aerophone wishes to play.
SOUND SIGNAL SYNTHESIS METHOD, GENERATIVE MODEL TRAINING METHOD, SOUND SIGNAL SYNTHESIS SYSTEM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A computer-implemented sound signal synthesis method includes: generating, based on first control data representative of a plurality of conditions of a sound signal to be generated, (i) first data representative of a sound source spectrum of the sound signal, and (ii) second data representative of a spectral envelope of the sound signal; and synthesizing the sound signal based on the sound source spectrum indicated by the first data and the spectral envelope indicated by the second data.
Mutating spectral resynthesizer system and methods
A method of and system for generating audio having pitch attributes of an incoming audio stream. The method comprises receiving a digital audio input. The audio spectrum is analyzed and integrated over segments of digital audio data upon receiving analysis triggers which can be synced with the audio tempo. The integrated spectrum is processed to find peak frequencies in the spectrum and their associated gain stored in a peaks array. The peak frequencies are used to program the oscillators controllable attributes and characteristics. The synthesis is performed upon receiving an analysis clock. A number of digital oscillators are configured with the associated frequency parameters and gain parameters from a peaks array. The oscillators are configured according to the audio pitch analysis and generate an oscillator output at the frequency and gain specified in the peaks array. These oscillator outputs are summed together generating synthesized audio.
Voice synthesis method, voice synthesis apparatus, and recording medium
A voice synthesis method includes: supplying a first trained model with control data including phonetic identifier data to generate a series of frequency spectra of harmonic components; supplying a second trained model with the control data to generate a waveform signal representative of non-harmonic components; and generating a voice signal including the harmonic components and the non-harmonic components based on the series of frequency spectra of the harmonic components generated by the first trained model and the waveform signal representative of the non-harmonic components generated by the second trained model.
Timbre creation system
A timbre creation method, system, and computer program product include performing a timbre analysis of a sound from an input source to generate a digital fingerprint of the sound, performing deep learning to create a patch that matches the digital fingerprint, and generating a second patch for a synthesizer which reproduces a timbre that complements the digital fingerprint based on the patch.
MUTATING SPECTRAL RESYNTHESIZER SYSTEM AND METHODS
A method of and system for generating audio having pitch attributes of an incoming audio stream. The method comprises of receiving a digital audio input. The audio data is analyzed upon receiving an analysis trigger indication which can be synced with the audio tempo. The analysis includes a Fast Fourier Transform of a segment of digital audio data.
The integrated spectrum is process to find a number of peak frequencies in the spectrum and their gain. A number of the peak frequencies are used to program a number of oscillators and the parameters determined during analysis and controllable attributes and characteristics of the oscillators. The synthesis is performed upon receiving an analysis clock. First, a number of digital oscillators are configured with the associated frequency parameters and gain parameters from the peaks array; The number of oscillators configured according to the audio pitch analysis and are generated an oscillator output at the frequency and gain specified in the peak array. These oscillator output are summed together thereby generating synthesized audio.
