DISC TRANSFER DEVICE
A disc transfer device according to the present disclosure is a disc transfer device that transfers a disc in a first direction from a first position toward a third position via a second position, and includes a roller, a roller support mechanism, a first retaining member, a second retaining member, and a retaining member support mechanism. The roller rotates in a state of contact with a disc end face on one side in a second direction being orthogonal to the first direction, until the disc reaches the third position from the first position. The roller support mechanism supports the roller such that the roller is in contact with the transferred disc and is moveable in the first direction and the second direction. The first retaining member extends in the first direction, and is brought into contact with the disc end face on the other side in the second direction until the disc reaches at least the second position from the first position. The second retaining member is brought into contact with the disc end face on the other side in the second direction until the disc reaches the third position from the second position. The retaining member support mechanism supports the second retaining member such that the second retaining member is in contact with the transferred disc and is moveable in the first direction and the second direction.
OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE OF ROTATING CAGE TYPE JUKEBOX DISC TRAY
An opening and closing device comprises a disc tray, a mounting shaft and a jukebox manipulator. The disc tray is mounted on the mounting shaft. A positioning structure is provided between the disc tray and the mounting shaft. The mounting shaft is mounted on an outer circumference of a jukebox rotating cage. The jukebox manipulator is mounted on a manipulator driving unit. A side of the manipulator driving unit is provided with an optical drive, the jukebox manipulator is provided with a driving plate structure and the disc tray is provided with a driving lever. When the jukebox rotating cage rotates, the disc tray can revolve around the rotating shaft of jukebox rotating cage and can rotate around the mounting shaft. With the assistance of in-place bumping post which is provided by a side of the jukebox rotating cage, the positioning structure can locate the rotation of disc tray at a fixed static angle.
Hard disc drive with internal access door
An issue facing shared read/write player hard disc drives (HDDs) is when a head-media contact event occurs, any resulting plume of debris caused by the contact event not only affects the magnetic disc currently being read or written, but other magnetic discs within the HDD enclosure. The presently disclosed technology is directed as mitigating the potential consequences of such a head-media contact event. By providing one or more internal access doors within the HDD, a magnetic disc currently being read from or written to may be physically isolated from other magnetic discs within the HDD. As a result, in the event of a head-media contact event, any resulting plume of debris caused by the contact event only affects the magnetic disc currently being read or written. The remaining magnetic discs within the HDD are isolated from the plume of debris.

Disc device
The disc device comprises disc selector spindle that hold discs in a stacked state, separate lowermost disc from other discs, and supply separated lowermost disc to drive unit. The disc selector spindle includes first, second, and third support claws that move to storage position at which each support claw is stored inside center hole of disc and protrusion position at which each support claw protrudes in a region located in the vicinity of inner diameter of disc in plan view. First support claw moves to storage position and protrusion position independently of the movements of second support claw and third support claw. Second support claw is disposed so as to be shifted from third support claw in a stacking direction of disc by a thickness of one disc, and to move from storage position to protrusion position at a timing different from a timing of third support claw.

Disc storage device rack and disc archive device
A disc storage device rack includes: an accommodation space surrounded by left and right side plates and upper and lower partition plates and configured to accommodate a disc storage device; a guide portion provided on the side plates and configured to fit to a guided unit provided in the disc storage device to guide a sliding operation of the disc storage device; and a shutter provided on each end surface of the side plates so as to be slidable in an up-and-down direction and configured to open an opening of the guide portion when the disc storage device is pulled out from the accommodation space or when the disc storage device is pushed into the accommodation space.

Disc device
The disc device that includes a disc tray which stores a plurality of stacked discs, a tray carrier which transports the disc tray, and a disc selector which supplies one disc of the plurality of discs stacked on the disc tray to a drive unit. The disc selector includes a disc selector spindle that supports the plurality of discs, a disc press on which an upper surface of an uppermost disc of the plurality of discs supported by the disc selector spindle abuts, a displacement amount detection mechanism that detects a displacement amount of the disc press displaced according to thicknesses of the plurality of supported discs, and a thickness detection unit that detects a thickness of each of the plurality of discs based on the detected displacement amount of the disc press.
