SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DIGITAL MEDIA STORAGE AND PLAYBACK
20180007439 · 2018-01-04 ·

Methods and systems for storage and playback of broadcast media received via a local digital video recording (DVR) system. The system includes the DVR system configured to receive the broadcast media and upload the broadcast media to a storage server over a network. The DVR system divides the broadcast media content into blocks and assigns a unique block ID to each block based on the block data. Prior to uploading each block to the storage server, the unique block ID is sent to the storage server, which only uploads and stored the block if a duplicate block has not already been stored on the storage device, minimizing network demand. A transcoding server coupled to the storage server transcodes the broadcast media content for streaming over the network.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CAPTURING, ARCHIVING AND CONTROLLING CONTENT IN A PERFORMANCE VENUE
20170316089 · 2017-11-02 ·

A system for auditing performance data in commercial venues having one or more computing devices located in venues where live or pre-recorded music is performed. The computing devices capture and store content in each venue using at least one audio input configured for professional audio performances. The computing devices store the content as a content data record with associated identifiers for date, time, and venue location. The content data records are transferred from each venue to a central server. Encryption keys encrypt the content data records from each venue to verify the authenticity of the content transmitted from the venues to the server. The server includes a processor for opening, reviewing, and separating the content data records from each venue into distinct files, each file comprising an individual work performed in the venue. The system further includes an interface for providing access to the archived content data records at the server.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING UNCORRUPTED MEDIA ASSETS

Methods and systems are described for a media guidance application that enable a device to repair a corrupt recording. The media guidance application identifies and replaces a corrupt first segment of a plurality of segments corresponding to a first copy of a media asset stored on a first device with a second segment of a plurality of segments corresponding to a second copy of the media asset stored on a remote device, where the second segment is an uncorrupt version of the first segment.

Method and system for segment based recording

In one embodiment, a method, system and apparatus are described, for uniquely storing, in a memory, for each one user among a plurality of users which recorded a content item, at least one segment of the recorded content item, generating metadata at a metadata generator, the metadata generator configured to associate, for one user among the plurality of users, the at least one segment of the recorded content item recorded by the one user, the metadata including a bitmap uniquely identifying the one user, and determining, at a processor, for each one user of the plurality of users, at least one offset value indicating at least one starting point for the at least one segment of the recorded content item for the one user, the at least one segment of the one user being disposed in a media sequence including a plurality of segments of the content item for different users of the users that recorded the content item, the at least one offset value being determined based, at least, on the bitmap uniquely identifying the one user and a byte size of the at least one segment of the recorded content item. Related methods, systems and apparatuses are also described.

ALUMINUM ALLOYS WITH ENHANCED FORMABILITY AND ASSOCIATED METHODS

Disclosed is an aluminum alloy for aluminum bottle applications, including methods of producing highly shaped aluminum products, such as bottles or cans, formed of the aluminum alloy. In some cases, the aluminum alloy has improved high strain rate formability at elevated temperatures and improved earing, which results in reduced spoilage rates. In one non-limiting example, the disclosed alloys have .sub.stable values greater than or equal to 0.035, where .sub.stable=.sub.F.sub.S and .sub.S represents the strain at which work hardening stage IV starts and .sub.F represents the strain at which diffuse necking ends. In some cases, the disclosed alloys have an earing balance from about 3.5% to about 2% and a mean earing of less than or equal to 5.5%.
