Various disclosed embodiments relate to video content analysis based in part upon the detection of shot transitions. In some embodiments, a process and computer system for detecting shot transitions in a video is used to separate a video sequence into a series of “shots” having multiple frames. These shots may then be used for additional processing, e.g., content detection within the video frames.

A recording medium cartridge according to an embodiment of the present technology includes: an information recording medium; a first cartridge memory; and a second cartridge memory. The first cartridge memory is capable of storing first information relating to the information recording medium, and includes a non-contact communication medium capable of reading/writing the first information via a first communication device disposed in a drive device. The second cartridge memory is capable of storing second information relating to the information recording medium, and is configured to be capable of reading the second information via a second communication device.

A magnetic tape cartridge includes a case on which an identifier is displayed, and a storage medium in which reading condition information that is information regarding a condition for reading the identifier is stored. The magnetic tape cartridge can be part of a cartridge management system, a reading method, and a non-transitory storage medium storing a program.
