CONVEYANCE ROBOT APPARATUS
A conveyance robot apparatus of this disclosure includes: a plurality of modules arranged in a row in a first direction; a robot capable of moving each of the plurality of modules in the first direction; a pinion mounted on the robot; a plurality of racks which are respectively supported on the plurality of modules in a slidable manner in the first direction, are meshable with the pinion, and are arranged in a row in the first direction; and a rack connecting mechanism configured to connect adjacent racks each other with respect to the plurality of racks arranged in a row in the first direction, by making at least one of the racks positioned at one terminal end slide toward at least one of the racks positioned at another terminal end.
DISK DEVICE
According to one embodiment, a disk device includes a base, a drive motor, disk-shaped magnetic recording media, a carriage supporting a magnetic head to be movable with respect to the magnetic recording medium, and a plurality of fixing members. The base includes a bottom wall and a side wall having a first corner and a second corner. The fixing member includes a support post erected on the bottom wall, and extending parts each extending from the support post between the magnetic recording media. The fixing members include a first fixing member provided between the magnetic recording medium and the first corner, a second fixing member provided between the magnetic recording medium and the second corner, and a third fixing member provided on a side facing the first fixing member.
Hard disc drive with internal access door
An issue facing shared read/write player hard disc drives (HDDs) is when a head-media contact event occurs, any resulting plume of debris caused by the contact event not only affects the magnetic disc currently being read or written, but other magnetic discs within the HDD enclosure. The presently disclosed technology is directed as mitigating the potential consequences of such a head-media contact event. By providing one or more internal access doors within the HDD, a magnetic disc currently being read from or written to may be physically isolated from other magnetic discs within the HDD. As a result, in the event of a head-media contact event, any resulting plume of debris caused by the contact event only affects the magnetic disc currently being read or written. The remaining magnetic discs within the HDD are isolated from the plume of debris.
Disc library storage system and disc cartridge used thereof
A disc library storage system and a disc cartridge thereof are provided. The disc library storage system includes a disc library, a disc drive tower, a disc transport device and a disc changing device. The disc library accommodates multiple discs. The disc drive tower accommodates multiple disc drives. The disc drives read data of the discs. The disc transport device moves the discs from the disc library to the disc drive tower and to the disc library. The disc changing device places a disc cartridge including an outer casing and a disc tray. The disc tray accommodates at least one replacement disc. The disc changing device has a pull-out state, in which the disc tray is received in the outer casing, and a close state, in which the disc tray is drawn from the outer casing and the disc transport device unloads the replacement disc from the disc tray.
Multi-cartridge control board with cartridge-external voice coil motor actuator components
An implementation of a system disclosed herein includes a control board including multiple cartridge slots and hardware for coupling each of the multiple cartridge slots to an associated storage cartridge. The system further includes multiple voice coil motor (VCM) actuator components mounted to the control board, each one of the multiple VCM actuator configured to contribute to an electromagnetic interaction that drives movement of an actuator arm within a storage cartridge coupled to one of the multiple cartridge slots.
Disc storage device rack and disc archive device
A disc storage device rack includes: an accommodation space surrounded by left and right side plates and upper and lower partition plates and configured to accommodate a disc storage device; a guide portion provided on the side plates and configured to fit to a guided unit provided in the disc storage device to guide a sliding operation of the disc storage device; and a shutter provided on each end surface of the side plates so as to be slidable in an up-and-down direction and configured to open an opening of the guide portion when the disc storage device is pulled out from the accommodation space or when the disc storage device is pushed into the accommodation space.
Disc storage apparatus and disc archive apparatus
Provided is a disc storage apparatus that includes a case including an opening on an upper surface of the case and capable of storing N rows of stacked M disc-shaped recording media (N and M each indicate a positive integer of two or greater), a tray cover that slides from a rear end of the case and cover the opening, and a locking mechanism that locks a state of the opening being covered.
Disc storage device and disc archive device
Provided is a disc storage device including a casing capable of storing a stacked body including one or a plurality of disc recording media and a spacer interposed between the disc recording media and an inner surface of a bottom plate, a position regulating unit that regulates a storage position of the stacked body inside the casing, and a plurality of through holes formed in an area of the bottom plate of the casing where the spacer is provided, in which the spacer is adsorbed to tips of pins to be inserted through the through holes.
