RECORD PLAYBACK APPARATUS
A record playback apparatus of the present disclosure includes a plurality of optical pickups that records information on a recording medium or plays back information from the recording medium; a single transport mechanism that transports the plurality of optical pickups together; and a transport control circuit that drives the single transport mechanism so that, when the single transport mechanism is driven to transport the plurality of optical pickups to respective target positions on the recording medium, absolute value of a maximum value of transport errors of the plurality of optical pickups with respect to the respective target positions becomes substantially equal to absolute value of a minimum value of transport errors of the plurality of optical pickups with respect to the respective target positions.

Optical disc drive
An optical disc drive includes a spindle motor, a first control module and a second control module. The spindle motor includes a turn table for supporting and rotating an optical disc. The first control module includes a first optical pickup head corresponding to a first data layer of the optical disc. The first control module is connected with a host through a first bus to execute a first control command. The second control module includes a second optical pickup head corresponding to a second data layer of the optical disc. The second control module is connected with the host through a second bus to execute a second control command. The first control module and the second control module communicate with each other according to a negotiation signal. Moreover, the spindle motor is operated at a target rotation speed under control of the first control module.
Optical disk drive with multiple optical pick-up heads
An optical disk drive with multiple optical pick-up heads is provided. The optical disk drive includes an upper cover, a base, a first carrier member, a second carrier member, a first limiting member, and a second limiting member. The base is disposed under the upper cover. The first carrier member disposed on the base and has a first optical pick-up head. The second carrier member is disposed on the upper cover and has a second optical pick-up head. The first limiting member is used for disposing the first end of the second carrier member on the upper cover. The second limiting member is used for disposing the second end of the second carrier member on the upper cover. The length of the first limiting member is larger than that of the second limiting member.
Optical pickup, disk drive device, and optical element driving device
[Object] To prevent the occurrence of stuck without increasing the number of components and also to restore thread engagement of a rack with a lead screw to a normal condition. [Solution] Provided is an optical pickup including: a light source; an objective lens; an optical element; and an optical element driving device. The optical element driving device includes a lead screw having a threaded engagement portion with a thread groove formed in the threaded engagement portion, a drive unit configured to allow the lead screw to rotate, a thrust bearing configured to support an end portion of the lead screw on a side opposite to the drive unit in an axial direction of the lead screw, and a rack having a plurality of first tooth portions provided spaced apart in the axial direction to be threadably engaged with the threaded engagement portion and a second tooth portion provided closer to the thrust bearing in the axial direction than the first tooth portion to be threadably engaged with the threaded engagement portion, the first tooth portion and the second tooth portion being positioned on opposite sides across the lead screw, the rack being moved in the axial direction with a rotation of the lead screw. The lead screw includes a non-threaded engagement portion formed at the end portion of the lead screw on the thrust bearing side, the non-threaded engagement portion having no thread groove.
