Radiation shielding eye mask
An eye mask apparatus for protecting a patient's eyes during dental or other radiography (i.e., “x-rays”) has an eye covering portion including a lead vinyl sheet. The lead vinyl sheet has a perimeter configured such that the lead vinyl sheet can completely cover a patient's eyes. The eye covering portion includes a first side and a second side. A trim portion extends around the perimeter, with the trim portion extending inward over a portion of the first side and the second side. A retaining band is coupled to the eye covering portion at a first attachment point and a second attachment point. The retaining band is configured to hold the eye covering portion against the patient's eyes when the mask is worn.
Radiation Shielding Articles Coated with Low and High Z Materials
Described herein are articles composed of coatings with improved gamma radiation shielding and physical properties. In one aspect, the article is composed of a coating, where the coating includes a first layer composed of a first Z grade material, a second layer composed of a second Z grade material, and a third layer composed of a third Z grade material, wherein the atomic number of the first Z grade material and the third Z grade material is less than the atomic number of the second Z grade material. In one aspect, the substrate of the article is a textile. Methods for making the articles described herein are also provided.

MODIFICATION TO LEADED EYEWEAR FOR SIGNIFICANT OPERATOR EYE RADIATION DOSE REDUCTION
The present disclosure provides a removable eyewear shielding device, an eyewear comprising a removable eyewear shielding device, and methods of uses thereof for reducing eye radiation exposure, reducing ipsilateral brain radiation exposure, reducing FGI-induced lens opacification, reducing cataract development, or protecting an eye or ipsilateral brain from radiation exposure.
Radiation attenuating protective garments
A radiation-attenuation garment system having a plurality of radiation-attenuating material panels adapted to conform to the contours of a body. The radiation-attenuation garment system includes a shirt and underwear shorts formed by compression material. A plurality of radiation-attenuating material panels are removably disposed within the shirt and underwear shorts to protect the wearer from radiation exposure in the areas having the radiation attenuation panels.

Method and assembly for intervention in a radioactive zone
A method for intervention in a radioactive zone includes production of a digital model representing the three-dimensional topography of the radioactive zone (1); and intervention of the at least one operator in the radioactive zone (1). The intervention step includes repeated measurement of the radioactive radiation intensity by a portable detector (3), and determination of the spatial coordinates of the portable detector (3) at the time of the measurement; recording of a plurality of said measurements and the corresponding spatial coordinates in the digital model; materialisation of the recorded measurements in an augmented reality device (5) worn by the at least one operator, by a plurality of discrete holographie symbols (7).
RADIATION SHIELDING MATERIAL
A radiation shielding material includes a main body having communication air holes and made of a base member constituting a three-dimensional reticulate skeletal structure, and a metal having radiation shielding capability. The radiation shielding material has moisture permeability through the communication air holes. The base member contains fibers, a foam material, a porous material, or a spongy material. The metal is provided in the form of a film so as to cover the surfaces of the base member of the main body. The radiation shielding material has a degree of moisture permeability of 1 g/m.sup.2 h or higher measured through the A-2 method that is a water method in accordance with JIS L 1099 where the temperature is modified to 20° C. and the humidity is modified to 65% RH.

Shoulder transfer weight support system and face shield
A shoulder transfer weight support generally having a hip or waist belt, a back support, and one or more shoulder extensions. The back support has an upper back plate attached to the shoulder extensions and a lower back plate attached to one or more hip belts. The lower back plate features a bracket shaped to receive an end of the attachment bar that joins it to the upper back plate. A spring-loaded plunger can be inserted into the attachment bar to allow for height adjustment of the device. A face shield at least partially made of a radiopaque material and can attach to the back support. One attachment option is a yoke mount with vertical sections at either end of the yoke mount. A second option involves a mount that attaches to the shoulder extension(s). The device can use a full face shield or a face shield with an open front.
