COMMUNICATION CABLE

Provided is a communication cable provided with a coating layer that contains a powdery magnetic material and that can suppress the occurrence of a powdery substance containing the magnetic material when processing the coating layer. A communication cable 1 includes a conductor 2, an insulating coating 3 that covers an outer circumstance of the conductor 2, and a magnetic sheath layer 8 that covers an outer side of the insulating coating 3, and the magnetic sheath layer 8 contains the magnetic material and the magnetic material has a particle shape with an average particle diameter of not more than 50 μm and an aspect ratio of not greater than 4.

Items with magnetic straps and cables

Cables are magnetically attracted to magnets in straps and other items such as electronic devices. The cables may contain signal lines to convey power and/or data. Magnetic material that is attracted to magnetic fields may be incorporated into the signal lines and/or other structures in the cables. The straps may have flexible magnets and/or other magnets extending along their lengths. The magnets of the straps create magnetic fields that attract the cables. Electronic devices may also have housings that contain magnets to attract the cables. Using magnetic attraction, cables can be removably attached to straps and other items during operation of an electronic device, thereby helping to prevent tangling of the cables.

A flexible flat cable structure includes a conductor layer, a first low-k dielectric and impedance adjusting adhesive layer, a first metal isolation layer, a second low-k dielectric and impedance adjusting adhesive layer, and a second metal isolation layer. The first low-k dielectric and impedance adjusting adhesive layer is adhered to one side of the conductor layer, the first metal isolation layer is adhered to a surface of the first low-k dielectric and impedance adjusting adhesive layer, the second low-k dielectric and impedance adjusting adhesive layer is adhered to another side of the conductor layer, and the second metal isolation layer is adhered to a surface of the second low-k dielectric and impedance adjusting adhesive layer so as to adjust the impedance of the flexible flat cable structure according to requirements and reduce the electromagnetic interference thereof.

Noise reduction unit

A noise reduction unit (100) is equipped with a noise filter (10), a housing (80) which houses the noise filter, and a sealing material (90) which is charged in the housing. The noise filter is equipped with conductors (20) having respective winding portions (21) and a ring-shaped core (30) which is made of a magnetic material and is inserted through the winding portions of the conductors. In the housing, a mounting portion (83) for the ring-shaped core has recesses (84) that are recessed in a direction going away from the ring-shaped core and support portions (83b) that support the ring-shaped core so that gaps (S) are formed between the ring-shaped core and the bottom surfaces of the respective recesses. The sealing material goes into the gaps and comes into contact with both of the ring-shaped core and the bottom surfaces of the recesses in the mounting portion.
