SIGNAL TRANSMISSION CABLE AND CABLE ASSEMBLY
A signal transmission cable includes a conductor, an insulator covering a periphery of the conductor, and a shield layer covering a periphery of the insulator. The shield layer includes a lateral winding shield portion composed of a plurality of metal wires being helically wrapped around the periphery of the insulator to cover the periphery of the insulator, and a batch plating portion composed of a hot dip plating, which is covering a periphery of the lateral winding shield portion. Where a diameter of the metal wire is d and a thickness of the batch plating portion from an outer surface of the metal wire is t, a formula t<0.5d is met over an entire cable circumference. When the signal transmission cable is bent in a U-shape within a range of a bending strain of 35% or less, no cracks occur in the batch plating portion.
ELECTRICAL CABLE WITH DIELECTRIC FOAM
Electrical cables and optical waveguides are disclosed as including an electrically insulative foam. The electrically insulative foam can coat at least one electrical conductor of the electrical cable. The electrically insulative foam can coat the optical fiber of the waveguide. The electrically insulative foam can also define a waveguide.
Wiring member
A wiring member includes: a first electric wire; a braided wire that surrounds the first electric wire; a second electric wire; a resin; a sheath; and a ground wire that is electrically continuous with the braided wire. The braided wire surrounds the first electric wire, the second electric wire, and the braided wire. The sheath has a first end exposing the first electric wire, the second electric wire, and the braided wire. The braided wire has a second end exposing the first electric wire away from the first end. The resin seals, in a liquid-tight manner, the sheath and a region covered by the sheath, and the braided wire and a region surrounded by the braided wire. The first electric wire, the second electric wire, and the ground wire are exposed from the resin.
COMPOSITE CABLE
A composite cable is provided with a coaxial wire and an insulated wire. The coaxial wire includes a center conductor, a first insulation covering the center conductor, and plural outer conductors arranged on an outer periphery of the first insulation, and a jacket covering the plural outer conductors. The insulated wire includes a stranded conductor including plural strands twisted together, and a second insulation covering the stranded conductor. The center conductor of the coaxial wire is a single wire. A conductor diameter of the center conductor is not more than a wire diameter of each of the plural strands of the insulated wire.
Coaxial cable, coaxial cable producing method, and cable assembly
A coaxial cable includes a conductor, an electrically insulating member provided over a periphery of the conductor, a shielding layer composed of served shields formed by helically wrapping a plurality of metal wires around the electrically insulating member, and a sheath provided around the shielding layer. The electrically insulating member includes indentations on portions of its surface to be brought into contact with and mated to the metal wires respectively. The shielding layer includes portions in respective circumferential directions of the plurality of metal wires being brought into contact with the electrically insulating member are mated to the indentations, respectively, on the electrically insulating member, and adjacent ones of the metal wires in a circumferential direction of the shielding layer are in surface contact with each other.
COAXIAL CABLE
A coaxial cable includes an inner conductor having one center wire, and six outer wires stranded around the center wire, an insulator covering an outer periphery of the inner conductor, and a shield conductor covering an outer periphery of the insulator, wherein, in a cross section perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the coaxial cable, a ratio of a total area of first regions which are respectively formed by a gap between the center wire and two adjacent outer wires, with respect to an area of a circle of the inner conductor, is 0.5% or higher and 2.0% or lower, and a ratio of a total area of second regions which are respectively formed by a gap between surfaces of the two adjacent outer wires and a surface of the insulator, with respect to the area of the circumscribed circle of the inner conductor, is 2.0% or higher and 5.0% or lower.
COAXIAL CABLE
To provide a coaxial cable with a favorable appearance and excellent processability. The above-described problem is solved by a coaxial cable comprising a center conductor (11), an insulator (12) provided on an outer periphery of the center conductor (11), an external conductor (13, 14) provided on an outer periphery of the insulator (12), and an outer coated body (15, 16) covering the external conductor (13, 14). The external conductor (13, 14) is constituted by a lateral winding shield (13) provided with metal fine wires laterally wound on the outer periphery of the insulator (12), and a metal resin tape (14) wound in a layer on the lateral winding shield (13) with a metal layer side being on an inside. The outer coated body (15, 16) is constituted by a resin tape (15) wound on the metal resin tape (14), and an extruded sheath (16) covering the resin tape (15). Given T1 as a thickness of the metal resin tape (14) and T2 as a thickness of the resin tape (15), T2/T1 is within a range from 0.180 to 0.800.
