DATA COMMUNICATIONS CABLE THAT UTILIZES MULTIPLE DIELECTRIC MATERIALS ASSOCIATED WITH DIFFERENT RELATIVE PERMITTIVITIES
A data communications cable may communicatively coupled two components associated with an information handling system. For example, the data communications cable may include: a differential pair of conductors; a first dielectric material, associated with a first relative permittivity, surrounding the differential pair of conductors; and a second dielectric material, associated with a second relative permittivity, surrounding the first dielectric material. For instance, the first relative permittivity may be greater than the second relative permittivity, and a distance between the differential pair of conductors may vary plus or minus an amount with a length of the data communications cable.
SIGNAL TRANSMISSION CABLE
A signal transmission cable is provided with a conductor, an insulator covering around the conductor, a shield layer covering around the insulator, a sheath covering around the shield layer, and a plating base layer is provided between the insulator and the shield layer to cover around the insulator. The shield layer has a plating layer provided to cover the plating base layer to be in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the plating base layer. A surface roughness of an outer peripheral surface of the plating layer is less than a surface roughness of an inner peripheral surface of the plating layer.
ELECTRICAL CABLE WITH DIELECTRIC FILM
A cable includes an inner conductor and a dielectric layer extending around the inner conductor. The dielectric layer includes a linearly-stretched polypropylene film having a porous structure that includes a plurality of pores that extend through a thickness of the linearly-stretched polypropylene film. The dielectric layer includes air molecules trapped within the pores of the linearly-stretched polypropylene film such that the dielectric layer includes polypropylene and air. The cable includes an outer conductor extending around the dielectric layer.
Composite cable including collective braided shield
A composite cable includes a signal transmission cable including a pair of signal lines being arranged parallel to each other in a cable longitudinal direction and contacting to each other and a shield layer covering the pair of signal lines together, a pair of power supply lines being arranged contacting to each other and contacting to the shield layer, a collective braided shield covering around a cable core composed of the signal transmission cable and the pair of power supply lines collectively, a sheath covering around the collective braided shield. The collective braided shield is configured closely contacting to the shield layer in accordance with an outer shape of the shield layer.
DIFFERENTIAL SIGNAL TRANSMISSION CABLE AND MULTI-CORE DIFFERENTIAL SIGNAL TRANSMISSION CABLE
A differential signal transmission cable includes a conductor, a first dielectric covering the conductor, an outer conductor covering the first dielectric, a second dielectric covering the outer conductor and including a material with a higher transmission loss than the first dielectric, and a shield covering the second dielectric. A multi-core differential signal transmission cable includes a plurality of wires each including a conductor, a first dielectric covering the conductor and an outer conductor covering the first dielectric, a second dielectric covering all the plurality of wires and including a material with a higher transmission loss than the first dielectric, and a shield covering the second dielectric.
Signal transmission cable
A signal transmission cable includes a signal line, an insulation layer covering the signal line, and a shield layer covering the insulation layer. A first oxygen amount A.sub.1 on an outer peripheral surface of the insulation layer is 1.2 times or greater than a second oxygen amount A.sub.2 inside the insulation layer, or a contact angle on the outer peripheral surface the insulation layer is 130° or less, or an adhesion-wetting surface energy on the outer peripheral surface the insulation layer is 27 mJ/m.sup.2 or greater, or a first amount of a hydroxy group on the outer peripheral surface of the insulation layer is greater than a second amount of a hydroxy group inside the insulation layer.
TRANSMISSION MEDIUM HAVING AN INNER WAVEGUIDE AND METHODS FOR USE THEREWITH
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a transmission medium for propagating electromagnetic waves. The transmission medium can include a core for propagating electromagnetic waves guided by the core without an electrical return path, a rigid material surrounding the core, wherein an inner surface of the rigid material is separated from an outer surface of the core, and a conductive layer disposed on the rigid material. Other embodiments are disclosed.
COMPOSITE CABLE
A composite cable includes a signal transmission cable including a pair of signal lines being arranged parallel to each other in a cable longitudinal direction and contacting to each other and a shield layer covering the pair of signal lines together, a pair of power supply lines being arranged contacting to each other and contacting to the shield layer, a collective braided shield covering around a cable core composed of the signal transmission cable and the pair of power supply lines collectively, a sheath covering around the collective braided shield. The collective braided shield is configured closely contacting to the shield layer in accordance with an outer shape of the shield layer.
High frequency signal transmission cable and producing method therefor
A high frequency signal transmission cable includes a conductor, an insulator provided over a periphery of the conductor, a plating layer provided over a periphery of the insulator, and a sheath provided over a periphery of the plating layer. A crack suppressing layer is provided between the insulator and the plating layer, in such a manner as to remain in contact with the insulator while being provided with the plating layer over an outer surface of that crack suppressing layer. The crack suppressing layer is composed of a resin film to suppress the occurrence of a cracking in the plating layer by bending while moving in a longitudinal direction of the cable relative to a bending of the insulator.
