Stranded conductor and method for manufacturing stranded conductor
According to embodiments of the present invention, a stranded conductor is formed in which the occurrence of defects, such as strand unevenness of filaments and outward protrusion of filaments, is inhibited. According to embodiments of the present invention, a stranded conductor (1a) includes soft filaments (2a) stranded together. The soft filaments (2a) include a soft filament made of an aluminum material, disposed along a center (101), and include six soft filaments, twelve soft filaments, and eighteen soft filaments made of an aluminum material, disposed around and concentrically with the center. The filaments are softened filaments that are softened. A lay length (Pa) is from 6.2 times to 15.7 times a conductor diameter of the stranded conductor.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING WIRE AND CABLE
A system and method for manufacturing wire and cable products with a polymer cable component is provided. The systems and methods include increasing the hardness of a polymer cable component in order to reduce compression and deformation of the cable components during manufacturing. In some instances, the hardness is temporarily increased prior to or during the process of creating twisted pair or during the cabling process.
CABLE ALIGNMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ALIGNING ASSEMBLED CABLE ENDS OF TWO CABLES OF A CABLE HARNESS IN THE CORRECT ROTATIONAL POSITION AS WELL AS ARRANGEMENT FOR ASSEMBLING PLUG HOUSINGS WITH CABLE ENDS WITH THE CABLE ALIGNMENT APPARATUS
A dual cable alignment apparatus (10) for rotationally aligning assembled cable ends of two cables (3,4) of a twisted cable harness (2), the cable alignment apparatus (10) comprising two clamping jaws (7,8) and a central web (9) disposed between the clamping jaws (7,8). Each of the two clamping jaws (7,8), which can be moved towards one another in the closing direction (s), can clamp a cable (3,4) between the central web (9) and the clamping jaws (7,8). The clamping jaws (7,8) are further designed to be movable laterally past the central web (9) for changing the rotational position by rolling the cable (3,4) clamped between them. The clamping jaws (7,8) can be moved independently of one another in the lateral direction by means of their own lateral drives (16,17), ensuring that each cable (3,4) can be brought precisely and reliably into the desired rotational position.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TWISTING SINGLE CABLES
A method and a device twist single cables about a twisting axis. The single cables each run along a cable axis and have wires, which are twisted in a strand twisting direction to form a strand, and also each have a first cable end and a second cable end. The first cable ends are held separately by a single rotating unit in each case. The second cable ends are held by a twisting unit. The second cable ends are rotated jointly about the twisting axis counter to the strand twisting direction to produce a twisted cable bundle. During the joint rotation, the first cable ends are rotated separately about a cable axis of the respective single cable, in the same rotation direction as the joint rotation. The single cables are each relieved of torsion thereby.

High-voltage electrical cable with mixed conductors
A high-voltage electrical cable assembly includes a central wire strand containing at least seven wires formed of a first alloy and a plurality of outer wire strands twisted around the central strand. At least one outer wire strand of the plurality of outer wire strands contains at least seven wires formed of a second alloy different from the first alloy. There is an electrochemical potential of about 2 volts between the first alloy and the second alloy. A method of assembling a high-voltage electrical cable assembly is also presented herein.

MANIFOLD PAIR LAY DATA CABLE
The present disclosure describes manifold lay lengths for each twisted pair of conductors in a cable comprising at least one twisted pair of insulated conductors, reducing both internal and alien crosstalk. The lay length of each pair can be adjusted, either continuously or in discrete steps, between a shortest lay length and a longest lay length, such that each pair has each lay length at some longitudinal point along the cable. The lay lengths of each pair are staggered in their progression between shortest and longest lay length to avoid pairs having the same lay lengths for any significant length along the cable.
ELECTRICALLY INSULATED CABLE
An electrically insulated cable comprising: a core electric wire; a tape member covering the core electric wire; and a covering layer covering the tape member; wherein: the core electric wire includes a plurality of insulated electric wires; the insulated electric wires each include a conductor and an insulating layer covering the conductor; and the tape member has a minimum value of transmittance of 70% or more with respect to light having a wavelength of no less than 400 nm and no more than 800 nm.
