Apparatus for generating field-free region, apparatus and method for nano magnetic particle image
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for imaging nano magnetic particles using a 3D array of small magnets. A field-free region generation apparatus includes a hexahedral housing having an opening formed in the first surface thereof such that a measurement head is inserted into a spacing area, a pair of rectangular-shaped magnets installed respectively on two surfaces facing each other, among four surfaces perpendicular to the first surface of the housing, and a pair of magnet arrays installed respectively on the first surface of the housing and on another surface facing the first surface, each of the magnet arrays including multiple small magnets arranged along the edge of the opening.
Hybrid multiferroic nanoparticles as MRI contrast agent for sensing of electric fields in a human body
An apparatus includes a plurality of particles, wherein each particle contains a plurality of magnetizable (for example, ferromagnetic) and ferroelectric materials in fixed physical relationship (for example, physical contact) with one another. A method and apparatus measure magnetic fields arising from or within the plurality of particles.

A method of producing a magnetic powder includes: performing heat treatment on first particles that contain triiron tetraoxide to prepare second particles that contain ε-iron oxide.
Magnetic nanoparticles sequentially irradiated by laser radiation for medical or chemical or biological or cosmetic applications
Magnetosomes for use in a sequential laser radiation medical treatment, wherein the magnetosomes are administered to a body part of an individual. In a first step, the magnetosomes are irradiated by a laser radiation, and in a second step, the magnetosomes are irradiated by a laser radiation of lower power than in the first step or no laser irradiation of the magnetosomes is performed. The sequence of the first step and second step is repeated at least once.
Method of virtually adhering materials to surfaces prior to encapsulation
A virtual adhesion method is provided. The virtual adhesion method includes increasing a magnetic characteristic of an initial structure, supporting the initial structure on a surface of a substrate, generating a magnetic field directed such that the initial structure is forced toward the surface of the substrate and forming an encapsulation, which is bound to exposed portions of the surface, around the initial structure.
Methods of producing cobalt nanoparticles and hollow gold nanospheres and kits for practicing same
Provided are methods of producing cobalt nanoparticles (Co NPs). The methods include combining a cobalt salt, a capping agent, and a reducing agent, under Co NP synthesis conditions including a temperature selected to produce cobalt nanoparticles of a pre-selected diameter, where the temperature and pre-selected diameter are inversely related. In certain aspects, the methods further include producing hollow gold nano spheres (HGNs) using the cobalt nanoparticles as scaffolds. Also provided are cobalt nanoparticles and hollow gold nano spheres (HGNs) produced according to the present methods. Kits that find use in practicing the methods of the present disclosure are also provided.
MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLE HEATING METHOD USING RESONANCE
Provided is a magnetic nanoparticle heating method using resonance, the method including (a) providing magnetic nanoparticles, (b) applying a direct current (DC) magnetic field to the magnetic nanoparticles, and (c) applying an alternating current (AC) magnetic field to the magnetic nanoparticles 100, wherein a temperature change rate dT/dt of the magnetic nanoparticles is increased to at least 10 K/s or more by adjusting at least one of a strength of the DC magnetic field, a frequency of the AC magnetic field, a strength of the AC magnetic field, and a pulse width of the AC magnetic field.
Synthesis of ferromagnetic manganese-bismuth nanoparticles using a manganese-based ligated anionic-element reagent complex (Mn-LAERC) and formation of bulk MnBi magnets therefrom
A method for synthesizing ferromagnetic manganese-bismuth (MnBi) nanoparticles, and the MnBi nanoparticles so synthesized, are provided. The method makes use of a novel reagent termed a manganese-based Anionic Element Reagent Complex (Mn-LAERC). A process for forming a bulk MnBi magnet from the synthesized MnBi nanoparticles is also provided. The process involves simultaneous application of elevated temperature and pressure to the nanoparticles.
