At least one primary turn and/or at least one secondary turn is formed around or passing through the first block and/or the second block to form, respectively, a first leakage inductance and/or a second leakage inductance.

ELECTRICAL POWER CONVERTER WITH SEGMENTED WINDINGS

An electrical power converter with segmented windings is provided. Comprises a transformer or autotransformer including a magnetic core (3) and at least a primary winding (51) and at least a secondary winding (52) arranged around the magnetic core (3). The primary winding and/or the secondary winding have at least one full turn that includes at least one power switch (10) and at least one capacitor (12) connected in series and arranged respectively opposite each other and facing opposite sides of the magnetic core, defining a cell (4) that is divided in four segments, a first segment (23) including said at least one switch, a second opposite segment (24) including said at least one capacitor, and two other connecting segments (21, 22) providing electrical connection between the first segment and the second segment, and each of said two other connecting segments having opposite electrical polarity.

Inductor structure

An inductor structure includes a first curve metal component, a second curve metal component, a connection component, and a capacitor. The first and the second curve metal components are disposed on a layer. The layer is located at a first plane, the first and the second curve metal components are located at a second plane. The connection component is coupled to the first curve metal component and the second curve metal component. A first terminal of the connection component is coupled to a first terminal of the first curve metal component. A second terminal of the connection component is coupled to a first terminal of the second curve metal component. A first terminal of the capacitor is coupled to a second terminal of the first curve metal component. A second terminal of the capacitor is coupled to a second terminal of the second curve metal component.

A planar transformer including a planar first primary coil; a planar first secondary coil inductively coupled with the first primary coil; and a transformer magnetic core for guiding a magnetic flux generated by the first primary coil and/or the first secondary coil around at least a first opening of the transformer magnetic core. The first primary coil and the first secondary coil are coiled around the transformer magnetic core through the first opening. The first primary coil and the first secondary coil are arranged on a first plane. The embodiments further refer to a battery charger including such a planar transformer.

The invention relates to an electrical filter element (1) for filtering alternating voltage interference. The electrical filter element (1) comprises two dielectric circuit board substrates (11, 12) having a magnetic core (13) arranged between the circuit board substrates. The magnetic core (13) has a material-free inner region (13a), in which electrical connection elements (21-24) are provided between the two dielectric circuit board substrates (11, 12). Furthermore, electrical connection elements (31, 32) can also be provided between the two dielectric circuit board substrates (11, 12) in an outer region of the magnetic core (13).

An apparatus includes a substrate, one or more integrated circuit dies on the substrate, and a stiffener affixed to the substrate. One or more sections of the stiffener may includes a magnetic material. The apparatus further includes an inductive circuit element comprising one or more conductive structures wrapped around the magnetic material. In some examples where a first coil is wrapped around a first section of the stiffener, and a second coil is wrapped around a second section of the stiffener, current supplied to the first coil generates at the second coil a current that is further transmitted to the one or more semiconductor dies.

At least one second winding portion comprises at least one beta electrical pathway which extends between a first beta pathway end to a second beta pathway end (30B). The first and second winding portions are electrically connected to form at least one coil wound around the toroidal core. Each coil is comprised of a plurality of pathway units, and each pathway unit comprises an alpha electrical pathway connected to a beta electrical pathway.
