This invention is directed to a corrosion-resistant permanent magnet, to a method for producing a corrosion-resistant permanent magnet, and to an intravascular blood pump comprising the magnet. The magnet is corrosion resistant due to a composite coating comprising a first layer structure and optionally a second layer structure on the first layer structure, each layer structure comprising an inorganic layer, a linker layer on the inorganic layer, and an organic layer formed from poly(2-chloro-p-xylylene) on the linker layer. The inorganic layers comprise aluminum and/or aluminum oxide.

LINE SCANNER DRIVEN BY MAGNETICALLY PRELOADED CAM

A line scanner assembly includes a cam with a cam surface, where the cam rotatable about a cam axis of rotation and includes a first ferromagnetic material. A mirror with a planar surface is configured to tilt about a mirror axis of rotation. A follower is attached to the mirror and has a second ferromagnetic material, where the first magnetic material and/or the second magnetic material includes a permanent magnet and where the follower maintains contact with the cam due to a magnetic attraction between the first ferromagnetic material and the second ferromagnetic material.

The present invention relates to a saxophone cleaning device, and the objective of the present invention is to enable the inside of a musical instrument having conical and curved shapes to be easily and more effectively cleaned, thereby assisting in managing the cleanliness of a saxophone. The present invention, for implementing this, relates to a saxophone cleaning device comprising: a cleaning unit 10 for cleaning the inside of the saxophone 100; and a pulling unit 20 for pulling the cleaning unit 10, wherein the cleaning unit 10 has cleaning cloths 12, 13 and 14 made from an absorbent material provided on a first string 11 having a predetermined length, and has a magnet 15 connected to one end portion thereof, and the pulling unit 20 has a metal piece 24 connected to one end portion of a second string 21 having a predetermined length, so as to be attached by means of the magnetic force of the magnet 15, and has, on the other end portion thereof, a winding means 22 around which the second string 21 is wound.

Mobile device mounting system

A mobile device mounting system includes a device case and a mount. The device case includes: an insert including a rectangular bore and defining a set of undercut sections about the rectangular bore; and a first set of magnetic elements arranged in a first pattern about the rectangular bore. The mount includes: a body; a polygonal boss extending from the body and configured to insert into the rectangular bore; a set of locking jaws arranged on the polygonal boss configured to transiently mate with the set of undercut sections to constrain the polygonal boss within the rectangular bore; and a second set of magnetic elements arranged in a second pattern about the polygonal boss and configured to transiently couple to the first set of magnetic elements to transiently retain the mount against the device case and to drive the set of locking jaws toward the set of undercut sections.

BIMODAL MAGNETIC ALIGNMENT COMPONENTS FOR ALIGNMENT OF DEVICES

A bimodal annular magnetic alignment component can be included in an electronic device that attaches to other electronic devices using a magnetic alignment system that includes a primary annular alignment component and a secondary annular alignment component having complementary (and fixed) magnetic orientations. In a bimodal alignment component, a set of alignment magnets can be reoriented or shifted between a first position in which a magnetic orientation of the bimodal alignment component is complementary to a primary annular alignment component and a second position in which a magnetic orientation of the bimodal alignment component is complementary to a secondary annular alignment component. A bimodal electronic device incorporating a bimodal alignment component can be interchangeably attached to another device via either a primary annular alignment component or a secondary annular alignment component.

Electric motor having permanent magnet and compressor including an electric motor
11532967 · 2022-12-20 · ·

An electric motor having a permanent magnet and a compressor including an electric motor are provided. The electric motor may include a stator; and a rotor rotatably disposed and spaced a predetermined gap apart from the stator. The rotor may include a rotational shaft, a permanent magnet arranged concentrically to the rotational shaft, and a permanent magnet support that supports the permanent magnet. The permanent magnet may have a cylindrical shape and be magnetized to have polar anisotropy such that a magnetic field is formed on the magnet's surface facing the gap but is not formed on the magnet's surface opposite to the gap. The permanent magnet support may be configured to form no flux path in the permanent magnet and connect the rotational shaft to the permanent magnet. Thus, the rotor has a reduced weight with consequent suppression of vibration and noise.

Retainer for securing personal electronic devices on seatbacks
11524635 · 2022-12-13 ·

A portable retainer for securing personal electronic devices on the backs of seats is provided. The portable retainer provides a core having communicating wire holes adjacent each end of thereof, through which an elastic wire protrudes for either hanging from a seatback in an upright hanging position or being supported in a pocket of the seatback in an inverted propped up position. The portable retainer provides front and rear endplates that are peripherally broader than the core for facilitating winding the elastic wire about the core in a stored position. The endplates may provide a slot for magnets, to which anchor plates can removably attach to a desired electronic device in either the hanging or the propped-up positions for viewing the anchored electronic device from selective angles and height, due in part to the rigidly malleable elastic wire.
