Enhanced capacitor tabs
A capacitor manufacturing method is disclosed herein that includes a process for the isolation of electrode tabs attached to the capacitors' electrodes from other elements in the capacitor. An isolation patch or layer may be deposited over the tabs by a machine or a device after the tab is attached and before the electrodes are wound into a cylindrical internal element of a capacitor. The device may coat the tabs and surrounding regions with an isolating material. Electrode tabs may be provided with an isolating material pre-deposited at least in part over the tabs.

A solid electrolytic capacitor that includes: a capacitor element including an anode body connected to an anode lead, a dielectric layer on a surface of the anode body, and a cathode layer opposite to the anode body via the dielectric layer; an exterior resin covering the capacitor element; a first external electrode terminal on a first outer surface of the exterior resin and electrically connected to the anode body; a second external electrode terminal on a second outer surface of the exterior resin and electrically connected to the cathode layer; and a resin layer having a lower filler content than the exterior resin and covering at least a portion of an outer periphery of the anode lead between the first outer surface of the exterior resin and the anode body.

ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR
An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, an anode lead terminal, a cathode lead terminal, and an exterior body. The anode lead terminal includes an anode terminal part and a first upright part. The first upright part includes two exposed parts and a bent part disposed between the two exposed parts. The two exposed parts are connected to the anode terminal part and exposed from the exterior body The bent part includes a recess at a tip of the bent part. The bent part is bent toward a first end surface of the capacitor element so that the recess is disposed in the exterior body. An anode lead is connected to the recess of the bent part.
