Sliding contact arc suppression
A sliding power contact and method includes a mobile load device connector and a socket. The mobile load device connector includes a non-current power pin having a first length, a current power pin having a second length less than the first length, a neutral pin, and a ground pin. The socket includes a non-current power contact configured to electrically couple with the non-current power pin, a current power contact configured to electrically couple with the current power pin, a neutral contact configured to electrically couple with the neutral pin, and a ground pin configured to electrically couple with the ground pin. An arc suppressor is directly coupled to at least one of the non-current power pin and the non-current power contact, wherein the arc suppressor, the non-current power pin and the non-current power contact form a current path between the current power pin and the current power contact.
Gas-insulated measurement transformer having a separating device
A gas-insulated measurement transformer for measuring high voltages has a plurality of transformer arrays arranged in a fluid-tight housing for transforming a high voltage to a measurement voltage. Each of the arrays has an active part, a high voltage contact guided through the housing, a fixed contact that is electrically connected to the active part, a movable contact that is electrically connected to the fixed contact, and a separating device, which can be operated from outside the housing, for establishing or separating a connection between the movable contacts and the high voltage contacts. The separating device has a connecting element connecting the movable contacts to one another, and an adjustment device for moving the connecting element in an actuating direction, wherein the fixed contact is configured as a guiding device for the movable contact in an actuating direction.
Spring loaded auxiliary contact system for bus transfer switching in a center break switch
The invention relates to a center break switch having a contact system for electrical current conduction and bus transfer switching. The contact system includes two moving contacts. One of the two moving contacts includes a finger contact and the other moving contact includes a first contact. Each moving contact includes a contact for bus transfer switching, wherein one of the two contacts includes a spherical contacting element, and the other contact includes a rectangular contacting element. The spherical contacting element and the rectangular contacting element engage during switching for the bus transfer, and stay in contact when the finger contact is engaged with the first contact for electrical current conduction.
Switching arrangement
A switching arrangement has a first contact set and a second contact set which can be moved with respect to the first contact set, and an insulating nozzle arrangement. The insulating nozzle arrangement is supported on the first contact set which includes a first arcing contact piece. The first arcing contact piece can be moved with respect to the insulating nozzle arrangement.
DISCONNECTING SWITCH AND EARTHING SWITCH FOR GAS INSULATED SWITCHGEAR
