ROTARY OPERATING DEVICE
20230016718 · 2023-01-19 ·

A rotary operating device includes a case, a rotating shaft member, an operation member, and a sensor. The case has a cavity having an annular shape with an opening at a top. The rotating shaft member is rotatable with respect to the case. The operation member rotates together with the rotating shaft member. The sensor is disposed within the cavity to detect rotation of the rotating shaft member. The case has an inner peripheral wall. The operation member has an inner cylindrical portion. The rotating shaft member has a peripheral wall that extends downward and along an outer peripheral surface of the inner peripheral wall. A first gap between the inner peripheral wall of the case and the peripheral wall of the rotating shaft member is smaller than a second gap between an inner peripheral surface of the rotating shaft member and the inner cylindrical portion of the operation member.

An underwater device may include a waterproof housing defining a dry cavity and having a nonferrous switch interface wall. The underwater device may include a rotary switch within the dry cavity and including a switch body, and a switch shaft extending outwardly from the switch body. The underwater device may include a first magnetic body within the dry cavity and coupled between the switch shaft and the nonferrous switch interface wall, and a second magnetic body external from the waterproof housing and adjacent the nonferrous switch interface wall in alignment with the first magnetic body so that rotation of the second magnetic body rotates the switch shaft. Each of the first magnetic body and the second magnetic body may include a permanent magnet.

Methods and systems for handsets for testing devices with fluid ingress mitigation

Systems and methods are provided for handsets for testing devices with fluid ingress mitigation.

Rotary switch

The present invention relates to a rotary switch. In particular, the rotary switch includes a main contactor having a main contact carrier and a main cam, a shaft rotatably journaled in the main contactor and extending axially through the main contactor, and an auxiliary contactor. When the switch is rotated from the ON position to the OFF position, the shaft rotates to break open auxiliary contacts before main contacts break open upon further rotation of the shaft.

A rotary encoder switch includes a cover cap, a fixing sleeve, a first base board, an actuating device, and a second base board disposed under the actuating device. The actuating device includes a base seat and a rotary element rotatably connected to the base seat and mounted to the cover cap. The first base board is disposed on the actuating device and has multiple first lighting elements. The rotary element is rotatable in conjunction with rotation of the cover cap so as to generate encoding signals according to each rotary position of the cover cap for controlling functions of an applied product. The first lighting elements are capable of emitting light in sequence subject to the rotation of the cover cap, while the light being emitted is permeable to the cover cap for users to easily recognize the exact rotary position of the cover cap.

Ignition switch assembly

An ignition switch assembly is configured to be operatively connected to a gas valve. The ignition switch assembly may include a first ignition contact and a second ignition contact. The first and second ignition contacts may be sized and shaped the same. A hub may be configured to be rotated within the ignition switch assembly. A rotation of the hub in a first direction causes a portion of the first ignition contact to engage the second ignition contact. Further rotation of the hub in the first direction or rotation of the hub in a second direction that is opposite from the first direction causes the portion of the first ignition contact to disengage from the second ignition contact.
