A switch includes magnet for biasing a contact arm into a close position, the contact arm forced into an open position when an actuating force is applied to an extending portion of the arm. The switch can be operatively coupled to a zipper system of a container such that a zipper slider, when moved to a closed position of the zipper system, contact the extending portion of the arm to provide the actuating force. A circuit is formed by electrically connecting the switch to a battery and light source. The light source illuminates the interior of the container when the zipper slider is moved from a closed zipper system position.

ELECTRICAL POWER TRANSFER SWITCH

A modular transfer switch (22) and actuator (20) wherein multiple transfer switches are connectable in linear arrangement with the actuator such that the actuator controls the position of all of the transfer switches. Each of the transfer switches (22) includes a contact assembly (48) that converts over-rotation of the drive linkage (26) in the transfer switch to added pressure between the load contacts and the power contacts in the contact assembly.

Switch

A switch includes a first fixed contact, a second fixed contact, a movable contact, a drive shaft, a first outside yoke, a second outside yoke, a first inside yoke, a second inside yoke, and a permanent magnet. The permanent magnet magnetically couples the first outside yoke, the second outside yoke, the first inside yoke, and the second inside yoke, and produces a magnetic field component in a direction in which the first fixed contact point and the second fixed contact point are aligned, between the first fixed contact point and the first movable contact point and between the second fixed contact point and the second movable contact point.

CONTACT DEVICE, ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY, AND ELECTRICAL DEVICE

A bus bar of a contact device includes at least one electric path piece selected from a reverse and a forward electric path piece extending along a direction of current flowing through a moving contactor. The moving contactor is positioned between the reverse electric path piece and a fixed contact in moving directions of the moving contactor with the moving contactor positioned in the closed position. The reverse electric path piece allows current to flow therethrough in an opposite direction from current flowing through the moving contactor. The forward electric path piece is positioned on a same side as the fixed contact relative to the moving contactor in the moving directions of the moving contactor with the moving contactor positioned in the closed position. The forward electric path piece allows current to flow therethrough in a same direction as current flowing through the moving contactor.

A drive unit is provided for a moving contact of a vacuum tube. The drive unit has a tube pin which is conductively connected to the moving contact, a drive which is connected to the tube pin, and a conductor bridge. The drive moves the tube pin. The conductor bridge is directly conductively connected to the tube pin and a stationary conductor and bridges a travel of the tube pin between a conductive switching state of the vacuum tube and a non-conductive switching state. A magnet drive is provided, which contains a first magnet element, which is connected to the tube pin, and a second magnet element. The two magnet elements are configured to build up a magnetic force between them when current is flowing through the vacuum tube and in this way generates a contact-pressure force of the moving contact onto a fixed contact of the vacuum tube.

Actuator, electric motor and associated method

An electrical switch for an electric machine includes body, a stator fixedly secured to the body and a rotor. The actuator includes a first member securable to the rotor and rotatable with it. The actuator also includes a second member, a first electrically conductive member cooperates with the second member. The actuator also includes a second electrically conductive member. The second electrically conductive member is spaced from said first electrically conductive member when said first electrically conductive member is in the first axial position and electrically engaged with said first electrically conductive member when said first electrically conductive member is in the second axial position.

DIRECT CURRENT RELAY

A direct current relay comprises a magnetism forming unit accommodated in a frame unit. The magnetism forming unit comprises a first magnet member and a second magnet member. A magnetism strengthening member is provided between the first and second magnet member. The magnetism strengthening member strengthens the magnetic field formed between the first and second magnet member. Therefore, the flow of the magnetic field formed inside an arc chamber is strengthened so as to effectively form an arc extinguishing path. The magnetism strengthening member can apply an electromagnetic attractive force to a movable core. Therefore, the movable core receives the electromagnetic attractive force according to magnetization of a fixed core, and also the electromagnetic attractive force from the magnetism strengthening member. Thus, since a driving force for moving the movable core increases, the operation reliability of the movable core can be improved.

AN ELECTRICAL SWITCH AND A SWITCHING BLADE THEREFOR

Energy regulators which use a bi-metallic strip to open and close electrical contacts are commonly used in household appliances for temperature regulation. This approach however often results in a slow connection and disconnection of the electrical contacts. This can result in arcing which can reduce the life of the switching components and/or cause the contacts to bond together which poses a potential safety risk. Disclosed is a switching blade suitable for use in an energy regulator in which the electrical contacts are connected and disconnected rapidly. Also described is an improvement to the construction of the switching blade whereby the movement of the blade may provide an impact or jolt to separate contacts which may have bonded together.
