SAFETY SWITCH WITH FOOL-PROOF FUNCTION AND TOASTER
A safety switch with fool-proof function and a toaster with the same are provided. The switch includes two pairs of first contacts connected to a live wire, a pair of second contacts connected to a zero line, and a trigger structure. The two pairs of first: contacts are connected in series in a power circuit. A trigger gap is formed between the first contacts and the second contacts. The trigger structure is movable up and down to drive a pressing part out of and into the trigger gap. When the pressing part enters the trigger gap, the two pairs of first contacts are electrically connected respectively. Thus, the power circuit can be effectively turned off through the switch, thereby improving the safety performance. Moreover, the switch adopts a mechanical contact structure, which is not affected by high temperature and other electromagnetic interference signals, and has high safety.
SHIELD APPARATUS AND CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER
A shield apparatus and a resultant circuit interrupter are disclosed, wherein the shield apparatus includes a shield apparatus base and a protection apparatus, with the protection apparatus including a shield that helps to direct an electrical arc along a flow path through a number of passages and that will help to enable dissipation of the arc and the plasma generated thereby. The shield apparatus is mountable to a portion of the housing of the circuit interrupter within its interior, and the shield is situated adjacent at least a first passage.
CIRCUIT BREAKER INCLUDING END COVERS
A circuit breaker includes an electrically insulative case including a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The circuit breaker further includes an end cover selectively installable on both the first and second ends of the electrically insulative case. The end cover includes a wall defining at least one opening for receiving a removable shield, a first end connectable to the electrically insulative case first end, and a second end connectable to the electrically insulative case second end.
Molded-case circuit breaker
Provided is a molded case circuit breaker including a front space, a rear space divided from the front space, a fixed contact unit provided on one side of the front space and in electric contact with one of a power supply and a load, a movable contact unit installed in the front space to be movable and in contact with the fixed contact unit, a switching device installed in the rear space and operating to allow the movable contact unit to be in selective contact with the fixed contact unit, an operation device installed in the front space and the rear space and transferring the movable contact unit according to operation of the switching device, an arc extinguishment chamber installed on the one side of the front space and extinguishing an arc induced while the fixed contact unit is being separated from the movable contact unit, and a barrier preventing backward movement of the arc from at least one position of a moving way of the movable contact unit, the position separate from the fixed contact unit.
Set of electrical protection devices with two levels that are connected in series
A set of electrical protection devices with two levels that are connected in series, the first level including a circuit breaker that is referred to as the first or upstream circuit breaker and the second level including one or more circuit breakers referred to as second or downstream circuit breakers, which are connected in parallel with respect to one another. The trip for the upstream circuit breaker, instead of including what are referred to as instantaneous protection means, includes, firstly, a first trip chain making it possible to adjust the long-delay trip curve for inverse time and the short-delay trip curve with a no-trip time and, secondly, a second trip chain including an optical sensor that is capable of discerning light between 300 and 450 nm by eliminating visible and infrared light so as to eliminate the light that is characteristic of gas jets emitted by the one or more circuit breakers referred to as downstream circuit breakers during a switching operation, and means for simultaneously measuring the current level and the maximum threshold of light emitted at the busbars, this second trip chain being capable of causing the upstream circuit breaker to trip when the current exceeds a predetermined value and the light emitted exceeds a predetermined threshold for emitted light.
SWITCHING DEVICE WITH EFFECTIVE COOLING OF OUTFLOWING GASES
A switching device with effective cooling of outflowing gases includes: an arc extinguishing chamber; an orifice for outflow of the gases from the arc extinguishing chamber; and a multilayer wire cloth or fabric having at least a first wire layer and a second wire layer. The first wire layer and the second wire layer have a respective cloth or fabric structure including respective warp yarns and weft yarns. The first and second wire layers are disposed in a stacked configuration in the orifice such that a weaving direction of the warp yarns of the first wire layer is rotated by an angle in relation to a weaving direction of the warp yarns of the second wire layer, and a weaving direction of the weft yarns of the first wire layer is rotated by an angle in relation to a weaving direction of the weft yarns of the second wire layer.
Switching device
A device has a movable contact, a stationary contact and an arc quenching unit, the arc quenching unit has a plurality of arc quenching plates and an electrically isolative housing, each one of the plurality of arc quenching plates has a mounting portion and a receiving portion, the receiving portion has a distributing part, the distributing part has a through hole penetrating through the receiving portion and an inclined plane protruding from the receiving portion, the inclined plane is arranged to a side of the through hole away from an arc entrance and extending to the arc entrance, an angle between the inclined plane and the receiving portion is an acute angle, a root of the inclined plane is continuous with the receiving portion. An inclined plane of a first arc quenching plate is interlacing and opposite with an inclined plane of a second arc quenching plate.
