Monitoring and locating fuse cutouts

This disclosure describes techniques implemented at least in part by a fuse-monitoring device to detect when a fuse cutout in an electric power system opens to disconnect a device and/or a load from a power line, and provides an indication of a location of the opened fuse cutout to a utility provider. The fuse-monitoring device may be attached to a fuse holder of the fuse cutout, and may include a movement sensor that detects when the fuse holder swings open due to its fuse melting, or blowing. The fuse-monitoring device may send a notification to the utility provider indicating that the fuse holder has swung open. The fuse-monitoring device may include a GPS sensor to determine the location of the fuse cutout, and may also notify the utility provider of the location of the fuse cutout so a line crew can quickly locate the fuse cutout that requires maintenance.

DIN RAIL DEVICE MOUNT ASSEMBLIES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS INCLUDING LOCKING MECHANISMS

A DIN rail device mount system includes a base, a module and a locking mechanism. The base is configured to be mounted on a DIN rail. The base defines a receiver slot. The module is configured to be removably mounted in the receiver slot to form a DIN rail mount assembly. The locking mechanism includes: a lock member having opposed proximal and distal ends and including an integral lock member latch feature on its distal end, wherein the lock member is pivotally connected to the base at its proximal end to pivot between a closed position and an open position; and an integral module latch feature on the module. The DIN rail mount system is selectively positionable in each of: a locked configuration wherein the module is seated in the receiver slot, the lock member is in the closed position, and the lock member latch feature is interlocked with the module latch feature, whereby the lock member secures the module in the receiver slot; and an unlocked configuration wherein the lock member is in the open position, the lock member latch feature is not interlocked with the module latch feature, and the module can be withdrawn from the receiver slot.

Module for detecting an electrical fault for an electrical protection assembly and electrical protection assembly comprising such a detection module

A module for detecting an electrical fault includes a housing; a first conductor and a second conductor; a first measurement toroid, positioned around the first conductor and around the second conductor, for measuring a differential current flowing between the first and second conductors; a second measurement toroid, positioned around the first conductor, for detecting an electric arc signal flowing through this conductor; a relay; an electronic processing circuit configured to switch the relay according to the current measured by the measurement toroids. The measurement toroids are aligned with one another and the first toroid takes the shape of an elongated tube and allows the differential protection to operate with its own current.

A liquid-cooled heat dissipation apparatus includes a base (10), a telesignaling linkage member (20), a sliding plate (30) and a switch module (40). The telesignaling linkage member (20) is moveably installed on the base (10). The sliding plate (30) is installed corresponding to the telesignaling linkage member (20) and generates a movement along with the telesignaling linkage member (20). The switch module (40) includes a microswitch (41) arranged corresponding to the sliding plate (30) such that the microswitch (41) is operably opened or closed based on the movement of the sliding plate (30). Accordingly, through the opening and closing of the microswitch, the telesignaling monitoring on the functional module state can be achieved.
