SEALED INLINE FUSE MODULE

A fuse holder including a main body portion formed of an electrically insulating material, the main body portion defining a hollow interior and having first and second through holes formed in opposing rear and front walls thereof, respectively, the first and second through holes being aligned with one another, an integrated first electrical cable having a first ring terminal extending into the hollow interior of the main body portion, the first ring terminal disposed on the rear wall and aligned with the first through hole in the rear wall, and an integrated second electrical cable having a second ring terminal extending into the hollow interior of the main body portion, the second ring terminal disposed on the front wall and aligned with the second through hole in the front wall.

FUSE MODULE WITH CLAMPED FUSE INSTALLATION

A fuse module including a housing, a busbar disposed within the housing adjacent an interior surface of a rear wall of the housing, a terminal extending through a front wall of the housing and having a fuse coupling portion disposed within the housing adjacent an interior surface of a front wall of the housing and a conductor coupling portion protruding from an exterior surface of the front wall of the housing, and a movable pushrod extending through the rear wall of the housing and having a head portion disposed adjacent a rigid portion of the busbar for moving the rigid portion of the busbar between a retracted position, the rigid portion of the busbar located near the interior surface of the rear wall, and an extended position wherein the rigid portion of the busbar is located further from the interior surface of the rear wall relative to the retracted position.

MODULAR FUSE HOLDER AND ARRANGEMENT AND CONNECTION THEREOF

A fuse holder includes a holder base comprising a plurality of protrusions each having a mounting hole formed therein to provide for mounting of the holder base to an external component and one or more mating protrusions and one or more mating slots formed on each of opposing side surfaces. The fuse holder also includes an input stud coupled to or formed on the holder base and a cover configured to attach to the holder base to at least partially enclose one or more fuses positionable on the fuse holder. The one or more mating protrusions and the one or more mating slots formed on each of the opposing side surfaces of the holder base comprise dovetailed protrusions and slots of a matching profile capable of receiving such a dovetailed protrusion, so as to enable a side-by-side stacking and interlocking of fuse holders with such mating protrusions and mating slots.

The fuse adapter kit includes: a fuse canister having an axially elongated fuse receiving portion adapted to receive the fuse; and at least one terminal having i) an axial fuse receiving opening for receiving an axial end portion of the fuse, ii) a lateral protrusion forming a mechanical male connector, and iii) an electrical terminal connector laterally arranged within the mechanical male connector for electrically connecting the fuse to an electrical canister connector; wherein the fuse canister has a fuse mounting wall portion extending axially along a back side of the fuse receiving portion, the fuse mounting wall portion having at least three fuse mounting openings at different axial positions along the fuse mounting wall portion, each of the fuse mounting openings forming a mechanical female connector matching the mechanical male connector of the terminal to form a mechanical plug connection, and wherein the fuse canister further includes the electrical canister connector arranged at at least one of the fuse mounting openings for electrically connecting to the electrical terminal connector.

Fuse box, fuse box assembly comprising such fuse box and vehicle

The invention concerns a fuse box, comprising a busbar (6) and at least one fuse (8) connected to the busbar, each fuse including two opposite end portions (8A, 8B) and a central portion (82), at least the central portion of each fuse and a section of the busbar being encapsulated in a plastic coating layer. The central portion (82) includes a part (84) of reduced cross-section. The two end portions (8A, 8B) include two respective electrical connectors (81A, 81B), and at least the two electrical connectors (81A, 81B) of each fuse (8) are not encapsulated in the plastic coating layer, so that a new fuse (12) can be connected between the two electrical connectors (81A, 81B) in replacement of a blown fuse (8).

Fuse Holder

A fuse holder provides a safe device for connecting fuses to a three-phase busbar device. Each phase includes a corresponding load conductor and line conductor mounted within a housing. A mechanical lock is provided for each phase that locks a knife of the fuse to one of the conductors for the phase. In a further aspect, the fuse knives are frictionally locked within the housing. In both the mechanical lock and frictional lock, a release mechanism is provided that can be activated by a screwdriver to release the fuse knives from the fuse holder. In another aspect, certain conductors are provided with heat dissipation wings that contact the housing to dissipate heat generated by current flowing through the conductor.
