COMPUTER KEYBOARD WITH A DISPLAY
A keyboard includes keys protruding from an upper surface of the keyboard. The keys includes switches. The keyboard includes a printed circuit electrically coupled to the switches of the keys. The printed circuit is configured to generate signals responsive to operation of the switches of the keys. The keyboard includes a display below the upper surface of the keyboard. The display includes a visual side facing the upper surface of the keyboard. The display is configured to present content on the visual side of the display such that at least some of the content is visible through the upper surface of the keyboard.
CAPACITIVE TOUCH FACEPLATE FOR A BLENDER
Touch sensors form various controls for a touch controller of a blender. The controls are arranged on the touch controller such that a user holding the blender can operate the blender by articulating their thumbs. In one example, button controls for preset programs are arranged in an arcuate manner on one side of the touch controller, the curvature of the arcuate shape being open to the side of the blender. A button for a pulsating function may be located inside the curvature opening. Start and stop buttons may be located near the bottom in the middle of the touch controller. A vertical sliding speed control may be located on the side of the touch controller opposite the button controls. The touch controller may also have an LED or LCD screen.
Electronic devices having keys with coherent fiber bundles
An electronic device may have a reconfigurable keyboard. The keyboard may be formed from an array of keys coupled to a housing. Each key may have a movable key member and an associated key display. Control circuitry in the keyboard may direct the key displays to display dynamically adjustable key labels for the keys. Each key movable key member may be formed from a fiber optic plate. The fiber optic plate may be formed from a coherent fiber bundle with opposing first and second surfaces. The first surface may be adjacent to the key display and may receive key label images from the key display. The second surface may face outwardly towards a user and may receive key press input from the fingers of a user while presenting key label images for viewing.
Keycap with an active element
Particular embodiments described herein provide a display that includes a mask that includes a one or more exposed areas, a top electrode, one or more bottom electrodes, a dielectric between the top electrode and the one or more bottom electrodes, and an electrical connection to create a differential voltage between the top electrode and the one or more bottom electrodes.
