Performance improvement unit for pulsed-ultraviolet devices

Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method for improving a performance of a pulsed-ultraviolet (PUV) device. The method includes monitoring an input current across a circuit breaker in communication with a UV lamp, where the input current is delivered by a power signal and is interrupted by the circuit breaker upon exceeding a predefined cut-off current; generating a pulse signal having a set of frequencies based on the power signal for driving the UV lamp, where the pulse signal is associated with a predetermined cut-off frequency that increases the input current beyond the cut-off current; determining a predefined threshold current less than the cut-off current; and configuring the pulse signal with multiple distinct pulse frequencies per second for a predefined configuration period based on the input current exceeding the threshold current. The distinct pulse frequencies per second include at least one pulse frequency greater than the cut-off frequency.

Illuminated keyswitch structure and illuminating module thereof

An illuminated keyswitch structure with an illuminating module includes a base plate, a drive circuit board under the base plate, a spacer between the drive circuit board and the base plate, and a light-emitting part on the circuit board. The spacer has a through hole communicating with an opening of the base plate in a vertical direction. The light-emitting part is located in the through hole, and falls within a projection of the opening in the vertical direction. The light-emitting part has a top surface that is lower than or equal to a bottom surface of the base plate in the vertical direction. The structure of the illuminated keyswitch structure around the light-emitting part can keep flat by the spacer. The spacer can prevent the light-emitting part from structurally entering the opening, avoiding structural interference between the light-emitting part and other components above the base plate.

COMPUTER KEYBOARD WITH A DISPLAY

A keyboard includes keys protruding from an upper surface of the keyboard. The keys includes switches. The keyboard includes a printed circuit electrically coupled to the switches of the keys. The printed circuit is configured to generate signals responsive to operation of the switches of the keys. The keyboard includes a display below the upper surface of the keyboard. The display includes a visual side facing the upper surface of the keyboard. The display is configured to present content on the visual side of the display such that at least some of the content is visible through the upper surface of the keyboard.

INPUT DEVICES WITH MULTI-DIRECTIONAL INPUT CAPABILITIES

Described herein are input devices for registering a translational input as a button is moved along any of a first set of different directions. In general, the input devices comprise a switch assembly including a switch that is actuated as the button moves along the first set of directions. The switch assembly may include additional components, such as a rotatable member or a cavity that are configured to engage the switch to actuate the switch. The switch assembly may be configured to provide a uniform pressing experience when moving the button along the first set of different directions.

Pushbutton switch with light-transmitting indicia on the pushbutton

An illuminated pushbutton for a pushbutton switch having a light transmitting pushbutton and an indicia cover that is attached to a front end of the light transmitting pushbutton. The indicia cover has non-light transmitting regions and light transmitting regions on its front surface, wherein the light transmitting regions provide visible, light-transmitted indicia on the light transmitting pushbutton. The indicia cover has an adhesive on its rear surface to attach the indicia cover to the front end of the light transmitting pushbutton. An LED in the pushbutton switch is constructed to transmit light to the indicia cover. The light passes through the light transmitting regions (symbols and letters) but not through the non-light transmitting regions. As the light passes through the light transmitting symbols and letters, the symbols and letters are lighted and visible in the dark.

ELECTRICAL KEY SUPPORT MEMBRANE

Keyboards and other input devices are provided with membranes that extend under the keycaps or buttons. The membranes are flexible and can support conductive structures, traces, and electrical switch connections to enable effective key switches, lighting, and fluid-tightness for the keyboard. The flexible membrane is positioned near the keycaps to prevent ingress of fluids and debris into the lower portions of the key assemblies. In some cases, the flexible membrane also provides support for an interstitial layer that extends between keycaps.
