CONTROLLER AND KEY STRUCTURE
A controller includes a key top, a substrate, and an elastic member. The elastic member includes a pressed portion, a base, a skirt portion, and a pressing member. The substrate includes a contact. When viewed in the first direction, the pressing member is surrounded by an outer peripheral edge of a prescribed region. In the second direction, a distance between an end of the outer peripheral edge of the prescribed region on a side of a swing center of the key top and an end of a top surface on the side of the swing center is longer than a distance between an end of the outer peripheral edge of the prescribed region opposite to the swing center and an end of the top surface opposite to the swing center. In the second direction, the contact is located closer to the swing center than the top surface.
Universal control button for control panel
A control button which includes a button head having an upper end acting as a pressing surface for initiating an action, and a lower end having at least one electrical connector; an internal button body into which the button head can be inserted; an external button body comprising an upper end and a lower end, the upper end being open for the insertion of the internal button body such that it comes into abutment and the pressing surface of the button head protrudes, and such that the at least one electrical connector emerges from the lower end of the external button body, the flanks of the external button body between the upper end and the lower end not being solid and having material openings, the open structure of the external button body allowing compression of the external body along the axis of the button, the control button being wherein the lower base of the external body of the button has housings for accommodating different contacts of the internal body of the button when the latter is inserted.

Electronic device having travel-magnifying input/output structure
Electronic devices having input structures that are operative to translate a relatively small travel of an input surface to a larger travel elsewhere. For example, force exerted on an input surface of an input body may cause a corresponding input body to move a first distance. An arm, lever mechanism, or the like may have an end or other portion that moves a second distance in response to the input body's motion. The second distance may be greater than the first; in some embodiments, the second distance may be an order of magnitude or more than the first distance. The travel may close or open a switch in response to the force exerted on the input surface.

Portable electronic apparatus having a push button
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic apparatus has a board plate provided in a position apart from the operating direction of push buttons for receiving depressing operations. Detection switches for detecting the depressing operations of the push buttons are provided on the lower surface side of the board plate, and the push buttons are provided adjacent to the side part of the board plate and includes a vertically-movable operation surface part for receiving depressing operations and a detection arm, which protrudes from one edge part of the operation surface part to the lower surface side of the board plate and presses the detection switches by moving in the opposite direction to the direction of the vertical movement of the operation surface part.
Seamless button
A seamless button including a guiding element, a movable actuating element and a switch located on a mounting plate. The movable actuating element is made of elastic material with a massive middle shaft spaced from the inner walls of the chamber by an air gap. It has an upper actuating surface and crimp surrounding the actuating surface above the air gap. It also has a profile area at the outer circumference of the movement crimp, where the horizontally outwardly extending portion of the profile area rests on top of the outer wall, the downwardly extending portion of the profile area rests on the outside of the outer profile edge and the protrusion rests on the pedestal covering it at least partially. A seamless multi-button is also disclosed, with a method for manufacturing seamless buttons.
Dual-function switch for stylus tail eraser
The systems, methods, and techniques described herein provide for an improved stylus incorporating a dual-function switch as part of the tail eraser mechanism. A conductive resilient body, when compressed, deforms to contact one or more pairs of electrodes on a printed circuit board, thus creating electrical continuity between the electrodes. A first force causes electrical continuity between a first pair of electrodes which may initiate a first mode of the stylus, such as erase mode. A second force, greater than the first force, causes electrical continuity between a second pair of electrodes which may initiate a second mode of the stylus, such as causing a microcontroller unit to issue a command to a computing device to launch one or more applications or services.

Input apparatus and electronic apparatus
A key structure includes a key, a key sheet and a supporting portion. The key displaces in a direction. The key sheet is disposed at a side of the key toward which the key displaces and comprises a sheet base portion and a contacting portion that displaces in the displacing direction of the key in accordance with a displacement of the key. The supporting portion is disposed between the key and the sheet base portion and supports one end portion of the key by contacting a member disposed opposite to the supporting portion while the other end portion of the key displaces in the displacing direction of the key.
