A switch assembly and method for use with power equipment, the switch assembly comprises a housing assembly for having an actuator opening, the opening defining spaced first and second internal housing positions and a removably located actuator for selectively positioning within the opening of the housing assembly for altering the operation of power equipment. The switch assembly further includes a first switch corresponding to the first housing position to selectively provide power to one or more components of the power equipment and a second switch corresponding to the second housing position such that the second switch is spaced away from the first housing position, the second switch for detecting the presence and position of the actuator such to further alter the operation of power equipment.

A sealed switch having a switch body with first and second switch body sections, a switch contact configured to be disposed in a slot in the first switch body section, a switch contact cover configured to cover the slot, and a seal configured to cover the circumference of the second switch body section.

Example implementations relate to modular keyboards. In an example, a modular keyboard can include a keyboard module including keys, where the keyboard module includes a plurality of locking mechanisms, and a lattice removably coupled by the plurality of locking mechanisms to the keyboard module, where the lattice comprises a keyboard overlay.

A switch, keyboard and associated methods are provided. In one implementation, the switch includes a housing having a protruding portion configured to be received in an aperture formed on a substrate, a plunger operable to move with respect to the housing, a first contact member located in the housing, and a second contact member extending from the protruding portion of the housing. The second contact member is operable to, based at least in part on the plunger being moved in a first direction, deform to a predefined extent to electrically contact the first contact member. The switch provides a low profile appearance but not compromising the smooth and quickly responsive striking motion for a mechanical switch, such that a clean design can be provided while the input experience and durability are maintained. The present invention discloses a portable electronic apparatus, which includes a cover casing, a base casing, a first keyboard and a second keyboard. The base casing is pivoted to the cover casing. The base casing includes a keyboard containing portion and a first connecting portion, and the first connecting portion is disposed on the keyboard containing portion. The first keyboard and the second keyboard are disposed in the keyboard containing portion interchangeably, the first keyboard has a second connecting portion, and the second keyboard has a third connecting portion. When the first keyboard is disposed in the keyboard containing portion, the second connecting portion is electrically connected to the first connecting portion. When the second keyboard is disposed in the keyboard containing portion, the third connecting portion is electrically connected to the first connecting portion.

An electric power tool has a tool housing, and a trigger switch fixed inside the tool housing. The tool housing internally has a trigger switch fixing unit configured to fix the trigger switch. The trigger switch fixing unit is provided with a vibration damping elastic body interposed between the trigger switch fixing unit and the trigger switch.

Example implementations relate to modular keyboards. An electronic device may include a first member that forms at least a part of an exterior of the electronic device and includes an opening; a second member that is disposed inside the electronic device; at least one electronic component that is disposed between the first member and the second member not to overlap with the opening of the first member; and a button device disposed inside the electronic device.
