On-screen keyboard detection for multi-form factor information handling systems (IHSs)
Embodiments of systems and methods for on-screen keyboard detection for multi-form factor Information Handling Systems (IHSs) are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an IHS may include a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: detect a keyboard using a magnetic sensor; and determine, in response to the detection, a position of the keyboard relative to a display surface of a second display, where the second display is coupled to a first display via a hinge.

Switch attachment member
According to an embodiment, a switch attachment member includes a support that is formed to be attachable between a steering wheel and a steering boss, and supports a switch. The support is formed to be capable of changing a position of the switch.
Snapped in rotating arc housing assembly for safety switch
The invention disclosed is an arc protection system for an electrical switch mounted in an electrical cabinet. The system includes an arc suppression housing pivotally mounted in the electrical cabinet. The housing comprises an arc extinguishing chamber having an opening configured to face separable contacts of an electrical switch mounted in the cabinet when the housing has been rotated about the pivot into a closed position. The arc extinguishing chamber is configured to extinguish an electric arc produced by opening the separable contacts when the housing is in the closed position. The system further includes an interference mechanism mounted on the arc suppression housing. The interference mechanism is configured to prevent closure of an access door of the electrical cabinet, when the housing has been rotated about the pivot into an open position configured to enable operator access to the separable contacts of the electrical switch.
Magnetic circuit arrangement for an electrical switch
An electrical switch includes a fixed contact member and a plurality of movable contact fingers that pivot into and out of engagement with the fixed contact member. The electrical switch also includes a fixed magnetic member and a plurality of U-shaped magnetic members housing the plurality of movable contact fingers. Upon occurrence of a fault condition, each of the plurality of U-shaped magnetic members is magnetically pulled towards the fixed magnetic member, without contacting the fixed magnetic member, such that each of the plurality of movable contact fingers is held in engagement with the fixed contact member.
SWITCH ATTACHMENT MEMBER
According to an embodiment, a switch attachment member includes a support that is formed to be attachable between a steering wheel and a steering boss, and supports a switch. The support is formed to be capable of changing a position of the switch.
Articulated arm coordinate measurement machine having a rotary switch
A rotary switch device such as that used on the probe end of an articulated arm coordinate measurement machine is provided. The rotary switch having a housing with an axis of rotation. A first actuator is coupled to the housing. A first switch is coupled to the first actuator, the first actuator being configured to selectively close the first switch. A first electrical circuit is provided. A first antenna circuit is electrically coupled the first switch to the first electrical circuit, wherein the first electrical circuit and first antenna circuit cooperate to modulate an operating field when the first switch is closed. A reader circuit is arranged fixed relative to the axis of rotation, the reader circuit including a transmitter configured to emit the operating field and a receiver configured to detect the modulated operating field.
