The button structure includes a connecting element, a press element, and at least one elastic element connected to the connecting element and the press element. The elastic element is configured to provide a restoring force after the press element is pressed toward the connecting element. The connecting element is provided with an instruction transmission port and at least one of a current transmission port and a data transmission port. The press element is provided with an instruction triggering port and at least one of a current transmission pin and a data transmission pin. The current transmission pin is electrically connected to the current transmission port to output or input current. The data transmission pin is electrically connected to the data transmission port to output or input data.

Dual parallel moveable electrical contacts/relays

A system includes a mechanical switching device having a first moveable contact operatively connected to selectively contact a first static contact. A second moveable contact is operatively connected to selectively contact a second static contact that is electrically connected in parallel with the first static contact. The first and second moveable contacts are mechanically connected to each other to move between a closed circuit position and an open circuit position. The first moveable contact contacts the first static contact before the second moveable contact contacts the second static contact as the first and second moveable contacts move into the closed circuit position from the open circuit position. The first moveable contact disconnects from the first static contact after the second moveable contact disconnects from the second static contact as the first and second moveable contacts move from the closed circuit position into the open circuit position.

Switch Assembly

SWITCH DEVICE

A switch device includes: an operation unit including a first switch, a second switch, a first resistor, a second resistor, and a first terminal; and a control unit including a second terminal coupled to the first terminal. A series circuit of the first switch and the first resistor and a series circuit of the second switch and the second resistor are coupled between the first terminal and a ground. The control unit monitors a potential of the first terminal which changes in response to on/off of the first and second switches via the second terminal, and determines the operation state of each switch based on the potential. A contact of the first switch is configured of a contact in which a resistance value between contacts at the time of opening and closing changes more sharply as compared with a contact of the second switch.

MULTI-POSITION KEYBOARD KEY SWITCH

Provided is a multi-position electrical switch. The multi-position switch includes an enclosure and a stem structured and arranged to move along a vertical axis within the enclosure. The stem provides a plurality of distinct horizontal protrusions as physical deactivators at different elevations along the vertical axis. A plurality of distinct electrical contacts are provided by a paired stationary element and a movable element for flexibly making and breaking electrical contact with the stationary element, the movable element biased for contact with the stationary element. Each distinct electrical contact is associated with at least one distinct horizontal protrusion. A spring disposing the stem in an initial position in which the plurality of distinct horizontal protrusions dispose all of the movable elements in broken contact. Depression of the stem along the vertical axis transitions the distinct horizontal protrusions away from the movable elements permitting contact with their paired stationary elements.

Key module trigger element having more than one contact finger each with differing pre-travel paths

What is presented is a key module for a keyboard. The key module comprises a key tappet. The key module also comprises a module housing. The module housing is formed to movably accommodate the key tappet, in order to enable a translational actuation movement of the key tappet between a rest position and in an actuated position relative to the module housing. The key module further comprises a trigger element for triggering an actuation signal of the key module in response to the actuation movement. The trigger element is attached to the key tappet. The trigger element is a contactor for electrically shorting contact pads of a circuit substrate of the keyboard. The trigger element comprises more than two elastically deformable contact fingers for contacting the contact pads after different pre-travel paths in the course of the actuation movement.
