Multilayer Switchdome Systems and Methods
Multilayer switchdome systems and methods are presented that may enable improved tactile and strength properties and enhanced action. Embodiments may utilize a first layer of spring material (1) and at least a second layer of spring material (2) to form a switchdome component (4). In certain embodiments, the spring material layers may be conjoined by utilizing a switchdome bond (3) to create an integrated bonded composite spring sheet material (7). Various forming processes (8) may be employed in performing the varying embodiments of a method of switchdome component (4) forming. The varying forming processes (8) may improve the physical properties of the tactile switchdome component (4). The varying processes, spring materials, and switchdome bond types may be optimized for a particular application.
Mirror feature in devices
Various processes for creating mirrored features are discussed herein as well as devices that include the mirrored features. One embodiment includes a button having a transparent layer and an opaque layer coupled to the transparent layer. A portion of the transparent layer extends through the opaque layer so that the portion of the transparent layer is flush with a back surface of the opaque layer and generally has a shape of a desired feature. The button also includes a reflective object positioned so that it may be seen through the transparent layer.
MOVABLE MEMBER AND INPUT DEVICE
A movable member includes an elastically deformable portion that curves upward in a protruding manner and includes a movable electrode, and a support portion having a leg portion extending downward from a peripheral edge of the elastically deformable portion, an extension portion extending upward from the leg portion, and a connecting portion connecting the leg portion and the extension portion. The leg portion has an intermediate portion positioned between both end portions in a width direction of the leg portion, the intermediate portion protruding, a boundary between the leg portion and the extension portion has an arc shape in top view, and a lower surface of the connecting portion is a protruding curved surface protruding downward.
Movable contact point, switch with movable contact point, and embossed tape for containing movable contact point
A movable contact includes a conductive member having an outer end having substantially a rectangular shape when viewed from above the conductive member. The conductive member includes a dome portion, a flange extending in a direction away from the dome portion, a connection portions provided at each of four corners of the rectangular shape, and a contact portion extending away from the flange. The connection portion, a first boundary portion where the connection portion is connected to the flange, and a second boundary portion where the connection portion is connected to the contact portion may constitute a drawn portion. Alternatively, the first and second boundary portions may be curved to be concave toward the dome portion.
Method of manufacturing a switch
A switch includes a case, fixed electrodes, a movable electrode and a pressing member. The fixed electrodes and the movable electrode are arranged inside the recess. The pressing member is arranged so as to cover at least a part of the recess, and displaces the movable electrode from the second position to the first position by a pressing force from the outside. The pressing member includes a first bent part and a second bent part, and a deforming part disposed therebetween. The deforming part is opposed to the movable electrode with a gap in a state where the movable electrode is in the second position. The deforming part is configured to be flexibly deformed toward the outside of the case in a state where the movable electrode is in the first position in which the fixed electrodes are in a conductive state.
