METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FOIL-BASED PRESSURE SENSOR

A method for producing a foil-based pressure sensor includes the steps of: providing a bottom element with a bottom foil and at least one bottom electrode disposed on the bottom foil; providing a plurality of top elements, each top element having a top foil with at least one top electrode disposed under the top foil, a combined area of the top elements being smaller than an area of the bottom element; and individually positioning and at least indirectly connecting the top elements to the bottom element so that at least one top electrode of each top element is disposed over at least one bottom electrode of the bottom element to form a sensor cell that is adapted to be activated when a pressure on the sensor cell exceeds a turn-on point. The turn-on point is adjusted by selecting a position of a top element from a plurality of positions.

This application provides a housing assembly and an electronic device, and relates to the field of communication technologies. The housing assembly includes: a housing, where at least one hollowed-out portion is disposed on the housing; at least one fastening structure, where the fastening structure is fastened to the housing, and a notched portion is disposed on the fastening structure; a support structure, where at least one support hole is disposed on the support structure, at least a part of the fastening structure passes through the support hole, and a part of the support structure that is close to the support hole is fastened to a notched portion.

Continuous carbon fiber winding for thin structural ribs

Embodiments are directed to a keyboard or other input structure having a continuous fiber material. In one aspect, the continuous fiber material is disposed in a layered fiber pattern under tension. The continuous fiber material is continuous in that it is not broken or severed within the webbing. Heat and pressure are then applied to form a structural web. The resulting structural web may be stronger than a webbing of conventional materials yet with reduced relative weight.

The present invention discloses a film structure for a keycap, including a molding film presenting a shape conforming with the outline of the upper surface outline of the keycap; and a polyurethane (PU) layer disposing on the molding film and engraved a symbol thereon, wherein the symbol indicates a specific keycap. In the present invention, the problems with the symbols of the keycaps becoming dislocated, yellowed and deformed when the keycaps are manufactured with currently available techniques can be overcome, and users can clearly see the symbols on a backlit keyboard.

Method to create a reduced stiffness microstructure

Methods are described to create a reduced stiffness microstructure (RSM). A RSM is made by forming a first buckled membrane along a first buckling direction and forming a second buckled membrane along a second buckling direction. The second buckling direction is opposite to the first buckling direction and the first buckled membrane is in contact with the second buckled membrane over a contact area. Within an operating zone, a stiffness of the reduced stiffness microstructure during contact is less than an absolute value of a stiffness of at least one of the first buckled membrane, before contact, and the second buckled membrane, before contact, when the contact area translates along either one of the first buckling direction and the second buckling direction. In the operating zone the stiffness can approach or equal zero.
