Input device
The invention relates to an input device in the form of a single-hand keyboard, comprising a substantially flat housing (1) approximately in the shape of a quadrant of a circle, in which housing a first keyboard circuit board having associated first keys (2) is accommodated, the first keys (2) lying on a first housing side (3) and being arranged along concentric circular arc segments in the manner of a fan. A second keyboard circuit board having associated second keys (4) is accommodated in the housing (1), the second keys lying on the second housing side (5) facing away from the first housing side (3), and the layout of the second keys (4) being mirror-inverted with respect to the layout of the first keys (2). Furthermore, a detection element for determining the current orientation of the input device is provided in the housing (1). The detection element activates only the keyboard circuit board facing upward and deactivates the other keyboard circuit board, depending on the orientation.
INPUT DEVICE
The invention relates to an input device in the form of a single-hand keyboard, comprising a substantially flat housing (1) approximately in the shape of a quadrant of a circle, in which housing a first keyboard circuit board having associated first keys (2) is accommodated, the first keys (2) lying on a first housing side (3) and being arranged along concentric circular arc segments in the manner of a fan. A second keyboard circuit board having associated second keys (4) is accommodated in the housing (1), the second keys lying on the second housing side (5) facing away from the first housing side (3), and the layout of the second keys (4) being mirror-inverted with respect to the layout of the first keys (2). Furthermore, a detection element for determining the current orientation of the input device is provided in the housing (1). The detection element activates only the keyboard circuit board facing upward and deactivates the other keyboard circuit board, depending on the orientation.
Light Switch Adapter
A light switch adapter for actuating a light switch having a switch actuator movable between on and off positions includes an adapter stationary member removably mountable in fixed relation to the light switch, an adapter actuator movably attached to the adapter stationary member for moving relative to the adapter stationary member between on and off positions, and a pair of cords that engage the adapter actuator. The adapter actuator is responsive to pressure applied to its surfaces, and to increased tension in the cords to move to its off and on positions. The adapter actuator engages the switch actuator to urge the switch actuator to its off and on positions as the adapter actuator moves to its off and on positions. An adaptive interface member facilitates the application of increased tension to the cords. A computer system allows for monitoring use of the light switch adapter.
Switch assembly and hand-held device
A switch assembly is adapted to be disposed in a holding portion of a hand-held device. The switch assembly includes first and second keys, first and second connecting portions, a switch element and a plunger. The first and second keys are exposed on the surface of the holding portion and respectively disposed on the opposite sides thereof. The first and second connecting portions respectively connect the first and second keys and the holding portion. The first and second connecting portions are disposed for allowing the first key having a displacement toward the second key along their connecting direction. The switch element is located inside of the holding portion, and the first key has a first backside toward the second key. The second key has a second backside toward the first key. The plunger is adapted to press and activate the switch element through the displacement.
SWITCH ASSEMBLY AND HAND-HELD DEVICE
