WIRELESS SWITCH ASSEMBLY
An assembly for a wall-mounted or surface-mounted switch comprises a housing, a shell, and circuitry board. The housing comprises a base and a sidewall defining an interior space, a resilient arm projecting from the base into the interior space. The shell has a sidewall and is mounted to the housing to enclose the interior space. The interior of the shell includes a switch contact surface. The circuitry includes a switch such as a tactile or linear switch. The shell is movable from a disengaged position to an actuating position in response to force applied to the exterior of the shell. Applied force causes the switch contact surface to actuate the switch and the shell to deflect the resilient arm. When the applied force is removed, the resilient arm returns the shell to a neutral position.

Outdoor and/or waterproof switch
An electrical device such as, for example, an electrical switch is disclosed. The switch being arranged and configured to prevent ingress or intrusion of water, dust, or the like from the external environment thus making the switch particularly suitable for use outdoors or indoors where water and dust are expected. In one embodiment, the switch includes a base or housing, an internal actuator positioned within an internal cavity of the base, an external actuator accessible by a user, a barrier layer positioned between the internal actuator and the external actuator, the barrier layer arranged and configured to seal the internal cavity and the internal actuator, and a magnetic coupling arranged and configured to transfer movement of the external actuator to the internal actuator through the barrier layer.

Base for a retrofit remote control device
A remote control device may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may include a control unit and a base that may be configured to be mounted over a paddle actuator of an installed mechanical switch. The base may include a frame, a biasing member, and/or a ribbon portion. The frame may be configured to secure the remote control device thereto. The frame may define a rear surface that is configured to abut a bezel of the mechanical switch. The biasing member may be configured to engage a rear surface of a faceplate of the mechanical switch. The ribbon portion may be configured to attach the biasing member to the frame. The ribbon portion may be configured to extend through a gap between the bezel and the faceplate.

RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE
Remote control devices may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a wallbox. The remote control device may include a base, a battery, a battery holder, and a control unit. The base may be configured to attach the remote control device to the mechanical switch. The control unit may be configured to be removably attached to the base. The battery holder may be configured to retain the battery therein. The battery holder may be configured to be installed within the void defined by the housing. The battery holder may be operable between a first position in a lower portion of the void and a second position in an upper portion of the void.
HAND-HELD INPUT DEVICE WITH THREE-INPUT SWITCHES
An input device for an information handling system may include a body and a plurality of three-input switches positioned on the body. Each of the plurality of three-input switches includes a first outer portion, pressable to enter a first input, a center portion, pressable to enter a second input, and a second outer portion, pres sable to enter a third input. The first outer portion is adjacent to a first side of the center portion, and the second outer portion is adjacent to a second side of the center portion.

Key arrangement employing mechanical and magnetic forces
A key arrangement includes an activation element, a switch, a mechanical counterforce generating device, and a permanent magnet arrangement. The switch has at least a first state and a second state. The activation element has a basic state and an activation state and is configured to, in case of activation by a user, permit a movement from the basic state into the activation state, and in case of the movement into the activation state to permit a change in the state of the switch. The mechanical counterforce generating device is configured to generate, in case of an activation of the activation element, a first counterforce at least in certain areas. The permanent magnet arrangement is configured to generate, in case of activation of the activation element, a second counterforce at least in certain areas.
