Circuit interrupters with ground fault modules and related methods

Circuit interrupter devices have a first housing with a circuit interrupter, a second housing coupled to the first housing, a ground fault circuit and current transformer in the second housing. The current transformer has an open channel. The circuit interrupter devices also include at least one power conductor having a rigid or semi-rigid body with opposing first and second end portions extending between the first and second housings. The second end portion of the at least one power conductor extends through the open channel in the current transformer and terminates in a breaker load collar(s).

Contact unit for a switching device and switching device

A contact unit for a switching device includes: a first fixed contact; a second fixed contact; a contact bridge; a first movable contact and a second movable contact that are arranged at the contact bridge; a first arc extinguishing chamber, a second arc extinguishing chamber, and a third arc extinguishing chamber; and an arc guiding system. The first fixed contact is in contact with the first movable contact and the second fixed contact is in contact with the second movable contact in a switched-on state of the contact unit. The first fixed contact is free of contact with the first movable contact and the second fixed contact is free of contact with the second movable contact in a switched-off state of the contact unit. The first and the second arc extinguishing chamber and the arc guiding system in coordination with each other extinguish a first arc.

DC circuit breaker

A DC circuit breaker includes a case, two fixed contacts, two movable contacts, a bypass plate electrically connecting the two movable contacts, a moving block to move the bypass plate, a moving block biasing member to bias the moving block in a direction away from the fixed contacts, a thermally responsive member, a latch, a shutter, and a shutter biasing member. The thermally responsive member deforms when an installation surface equals or exceeds a prescribed temperature. The latch restricts movement of the moving block by locking the moving block when the thermally responsive member is in a pre-deformation state. The latch cancels the restriction of the movement the thermally responsive member deforms. The shutter is insertable between the fixed contacts and the movable contacts. The shutter biasing member constantly biases the shutter in a direction to be inserted between the fixed contacts and the movable contacts.

This application discloses an ultraviolet lamp with minimized ozone generation, the ultraviolet lamp comprising an outer tube; an inner tube arranged across the interior of the outer tube; an outer electrode installed on the outside wall of the outer tube; and an inner electrode installed on the inner side of the tube; wherein the outer electrode is in surface contact with the outside wall of the outer tube; and the width of the contact surface between the outer electrode and the outer tube is equal to the width of the effective electric field generated between the outer electrode and the inner electrode. Thus, because there is no discharge area between the outer electrode and the outer tube, when the outer electrode is connected to a high voltage, there is no discharge in the air, and no ozone is generated.

Switching device

A switching device for low-voltage or medium-voltage applications including: one or more electric poles; for each electric pole, at least a fixed contact and at least a movable contact, each movable contact being reversibly movable between a coupled position, at which the movable contact is coupled with a corresponding fixed contact, and an uncoupled position, at which the movable contact is separated from the fixed contact, wherein a separation gap is present between the movable contact and the fixed contact, when the movable contact is in the uncoupled position. The switching device includes, for each electric pole, at least an arc-diverting element made of electrically insulating material.
