Circuit interrupter
A circuit interrupter includes a fixed terminal, a movable contactor, a moving mechanism, a squib, and accommodation. The fixed terminal includes a fixed contact. The movable contactor includes a movable contact connected to the fixed contact. The moving mechanism is configured to move the movable contactor from a closed position where the movable contact is connected to the fixed contact to an open position where the movable contact is separated from the fixed contact. The squib is configured to generate gas by combustion. The accommodation is for accommodating the fixed contact and the movable contactor. In the circuit interrupter, the gas is introduced into the accommodation.
ARC-SUPPRESSING GAS BLAST IN PYROTECHNIC DISCONNECT
A pyrotechnic disconnect comprises: a housing with at least a combustion chamber therein; a pyrotechnic charge in the combustion chamber; a busbar covering an opening of the combustion chamber, the busbar configured to be severed by activation of the pyrotechnic charge; and an exhaust port from the housing, the exhaust port configured to allow gas from the activation of the pyrotechnic charge to help suppress an electric arc formed by the severing of the busbar.
Arc extinguishing chamber base of molded case circuit breaker
The present disclosure relates to an arc extinguishing chamber base of a molded case circuit breaker and, more specifically, to an arc extinguishing chamber base of a molded case circuit breaker, manufactured using a thermoplastic resin. The present disclosure enables an arc extinguishing chamber base for forming a molded case circuit breaker to be manufactured using an aromatic polyamide-based thermoplastic resin, thereby enabling an increase in productivity, a decrease in component weight, a reduction in component production time, an eco-friendly effect, and recycling. Furthermore, component lifespan increases.

Electric switch provided with an arc-blasting unit
Embodiments of the disclosure relate to an electric switching unit provided with an arc-blasting unit. In one embodiment, an electric switch can be provided. This electric switch can include an arc-blasting unit with a compression cylinder enclosing a compression chamber mobile together with the mobile contacts, and a stationary piston at an end of the compression chamber, provided with a support rod made up as a blowpipe which channels the gas compressed in the chamber when the contacts separate to a nozzle that directs the flow to a separation place of the contacts so as to efficiently blast electric arcs. The arrangement can be relatively lightweight and can occupy relatively little space.
