Key structure

A key structure includes a bottom plate, at least one keycap, and a thin-film circuit board. The bottom plate has at least one elastic protruding portion. The keycap is liftably connected to the bottom plate and has a press portion and at least one trigger portion. The press portion is located at a central region of the keycap and faces the elastic protruding portion, and the trigger portion is located at a peripheral region of the keycap. When the key is lowered from a first position to a second position relatively to the bottom plate, the press portion downwardly presses the elastic protruding portion, and the press portion triggers an electrical trigger point of the thin-film circuit board. The keycap is adapted to be restored from the second position to the first position through an elastic force of the elastic protruding portion.

A movable member includes an elastically deformable portion that curves upward in a protruding manner and includes a movable electrode, and a support portion having a leg portion extending downward from a peripheral edge of the elastically deformable portion, an extension portion extending upward from the leg portion, and a connecting portion connecting the leg portion and the extension portion. The leg portion has an intermediate portion positioned between both end portions in a width direction of the leg portion, the intermediate portion protruding, a boundary between the leg portion and the extension portion has an arc shape in top view, and a lower surface of the connecting portion is a protruding curved surface protruding downward.

Push switch

A push switch including a pressing member, a movable contact, an interposed member, a first fixed contact, and a second fixed contact is provided. The pressing member includes a pressing portion configured to be pressed, and includes an elastically deformable peripheral wall portion having a lower end portion and extending downward and outward from the outer periphery of the pressing portion. The movable contact has a dome shape and is disposed below the pressing member. The interposed member is disposed between the pressing member and the movable contact, and is configured to press the movable contact by receiving and being pressed by the lower end portion of the peripheral wall portion of the pressing member. The lower end portion of the peripheral wall portion of the pressing member presses the interposed member while the peripheral wall portion is subjected to elastic deformation in response to the pressing portion being pressed.

A surface mount device switch includes a pedestal, a metal dome, a buffering sheet and a movable conducting part. A pedestal contact part of the pedestal is electrically connected with a circuit board. The buffering sheet is located over an opening of the pedestal. The metal dome is located under the opening. The movable conducting part is located under the buffering sheet. A portion of the movable conducting part is inserted into the opening. Due to the buffering sheet, the collision between the metal dome and the movable conducting part is alleviated and the click sound is reduced. Consequently, the comfort of operating the touchpad module is enhanced. The present invention further provides a touchpad module and a computing device with the surface mount device switch.

Key switch and keyboard

A key switch includes a movable part configured to be moved by a pressing operation, a support mechanism that movably supports the movable part, an electrical connector including multiple pairs of contacts of upper electrodes and lower electrodes, and a disc spring that is disposed between the movable part and the electrical connector and configured to be elastically deformed by movement of the movable part and to press the electrical connector. The multiple pairs of contacts are provided for one movable part. When the disc spring is deformed by the movement of the movable part, the disc spring is configured to simultaneously press the multiple pairs of contacts provided for the corresponding movable part.
