Provided herein are coil support structures and methods of retaining a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) of a relay. In some embodiments, a bi-stable relay assembly may include a coil support structure, having a central section extending between a first end section and a second end section, and set of biasable fasteners extending from the first end section and the second end section, wherein each of the set of biasable fasteners includes a sloped engagement surface and a retention slot. The coil support structure may further include a PCBA coupled to the first and second end sections of the coil support structure, wherein the coil support structure extends within the retention slot of each of the set of biasable fasteners.

An electromagnetic relay includes a first fixed terminal including a first fixed contact, a second fixed terminal including a second fixed contact, a movable contact piece including first and second contacts, a drive device including a coil, a case, and a magnet. The case includes an accommodation space accommodating the first fixed contact, the second fixed contact, and the movable contact piece, and a first arc extension space at least partially disposed between the coil and the magnet. The magnet is disposed so as to overlap with the coil in a third direction orthogonal to the moving direction and a longitudinal direction of the movable contact piece. The magnet configured to extend a first arc generated between the first fixed contact and the first movable contact and a second arc generated between the second fixed contact and the second movable contact in the longitudinal direction of the movable contact piece.

An electromagnetic relay includes a base, a fixed terminal, a fixed contact, a movable piece, a movable contact, a magnet, a base holder, and a case. The fixed terminal is supported by the base. The fixed contact is connected to the fixed terminal. The movable piece is supported by the base. The movable contact is connected to the movable piece and faces the fixed contact. The magnet exerts a Lorentz force on an arc generated between the fixed contact and the movable contact. The base holder is a separate body from the base. The base holder is attached to the base. The base holder is disposed in at least a direction in which the Lorentz force acts with respect to the base. The case is attached to the base holder.

Electromagnetic relay

An electromagnetic relay includes a base, a spool provided on the base, a coil wound on the spool, a yoke inserted into a hole formed in the spool, an armature movably disposed on the base, a movable contact fixed on the base, a static contact fixed on the base, a driving member connected between the armature and the movable contact, and an elastic pressing member fixed on the base. The elastic pressing member is pressed against an outer side of the armature so as to position the armature on the base and provide an auxiliary thrust to the armature.

Relay with a yoke having protrusion for caulking and bulge portion adjacent to protrusion

Provided is a relay having a structure for preventing deformation of a movable spring when it is caulked. A yoke of the relay has a protrusion for caulking inserted in the movable spring, and a bulge portion adjacent to the protrusion and having a height lower than a height of the protrusion. By providing the bulge portion to the yoke, the dimensional change in the caulking direction of the movable spring when the movable contact is caulked can be reduced.

Magnetic latching relay

A magnetic latching relay includes a base, a magnetic circuit portion, a pushing card and a contact portion; the base is provided with a first blocking wall to divide the base into an upper cavity and a lower cavity, the magnetic circuit portion and the contact portion are installed in the upper cavity and the lower cavity respectively; an iron core, two yokes and a magnetic steel of the magnetic circuit portion are formed an E-shaped magnetic conductive structure with a 90 degrees side turn; the middle position of an armature is rotatably supported above the magnetic steel, two ends of the armature respectively correspond to the tops of the two yokes; an upper end of the pushing card is connected to one end of the armature, and a lower end of the pushing card is connected to a free end of a movable spring of the contact portion.

Disclosed is a magnetic latching relay capable of accurately positioning a magnetic circuit, comprising a magnetic circuit portion and a base, the magnetic circuit portion comprising a yoke, an iron core, an armature, and a bobbin, the iron core is inserted into a through-hole of the bobbin, and the yoke comprises two yokes, and one side of each of the two yokes is connected to the iron core respectively at the both ends of the through-hole of the bobbin, and the armature is fitted between the other side of each of the two yokes, the magnetic circuit portion is mounted on the base, with the axis of the through-hole of the bobbin in a horizontal manner; in at least one of the two yokes, a positioning convex portion is further provided on the outward face of the side of the yoke, positioning grooves are formed in at least one side wall to be engaged with the positioning convex portion of the yoke, to realize the positioning of the magnetic circuit portions on the base in the horizontal direction perpendicular to the axis of the bobbin through hole.

The armature lies at least partially flat on the yoke, and a receiving depression is partly formed in the armature. The bracket-shaped clamping spring surrounds the armature and the yoke on an end face such that the armature is fixed on the yoke. The bracket-shaped clamping spring has a first clamping limb arranged in the receiving depression of the armature, and a second clamping limb lying on the yoke. The first clamping limb has an angled tab which engages elastically into a recess formed in the receiving depression of the armature.
