Power contact health assessor apparatus and method

A system includes a dry contact with a first pair of switchable electrodes, a wet contact with a second pair of switchable electrodes, an arc suppressor, and a controller circuit operatively coupled to the arc suppressor and the first and second pairs of switchable electrodes. The controller circuit is configured to detect a failure of the wet contact and determine a stick duration associated with the first pair of switchable electrodes. The stick duration is based on a duration between an instance when a coil of the dry contact is deactivated and an instance of separation of the first pair of switchable electrodes during deactivation of the coil. The controller circuit generates, in-situ and in real-time, health assessment for the first pair of switchable electrodes based on a comparison of the determined stick duration with an average stick duration associated with a window of observation.

CONTACT LEVITATION TRIGGERING MECHANISMS FOR USE WITH SWITCHING DEVICES INCORPORATING PYROTECHNIC FEATURES

Electrical switching device are disclosed having a housing with internal component within the housing. The internal components comprise contacts configured to operate, to change the state of the switching device from a closed state, allowing current flow through the switching device to an open state which interrupts current flow through the switching device. A pyrotechnic feature is included that is configured to interact with the internal components to transition the switching device from the closed state to the open state when the pyrotechnic feature is activated. The pyrotechnic feature is configured to trigger in response to levitation between the contacts at elevated current signal flowing through the switching device.

A press-fit fixing portion fixes a drive unit and a relay unit by press-fitting a claw portion and the recess portion. A sealing member is provided on an outside of the relay unit and the drive unit. An inner cover forms a sealed space for sealing an arc-extinguishing gas together with the sealing member. An electromagnetic relay is configured to make it possible both an adjustment of a press-fitting amount of the claw portion and the recess portion and an adjustment of the gap between a ceramic insulator at an end of a shaft and a movable element by making each of the relay unit and the drive unit in a manufacturing process to the same state as in when a magnetizing coil is energized.

Electromagnetic relay

An electromagnetic relay includes a first movable contact piece, a moving member, a coil, and a movable iron core. The movable iron core is connected to the moving member and is configured to move by a magnetic force generated by the coil. The moving member is made of an electrical insulator. The moving member includes a support portion and a connecting portion. The support portion holds a first movable contact piece. The connecting portion is connected to the movable iron core. The connecting portion includes a locking groove and a locking projection. An end of the movable iron core is disposed in the locking groove. The locking projection presses the end of the movable iron core in the locking groove. The locking projection extends in a support direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the moving member.

AUXILIARY CONTACT UNIT

An auxiliary contact unit to be attached on a side surface of an electromagnetic contactor by a snap-fit, wherein the snap-fit includes: a projecting piece projecting toward the electromagnetic contactor and having a tip end portion engaging with the electromagnetic contactor, the tip end portion being formed in a hook shape; and a release operating portion formed on a base end side of the projecting piece and configured to, by bending when pressed from an outside, cause the tip end portion engaged with the electromagnetic contactor to be released.

RELAY

A base of a relay has a leg extending in a contact/separation direction between contacts, and the leg is configured to come into contact with a yoke when the base is incorporated into a case. The leg is spaced away from an upper part of an armature by a distance. This distance is determined so that an upper surface of the armature does not come into contact with the leg in a normal operation of the armature, but the upper surface of the armature comes into contact with a lower surface of the leg when the armature jumps up beyond a movable range thereof due to, for example, a strong impact applied to a vehicle on which the relay is mounted.

Relay

A relay includes a housing, a fixed terminal, a screw receiving member, and at least one female screw member. The fixed terminal has a plate shape. The fixed terminal includes a fastening portion having at least one screw insertion hole. The fastening portion is exposed from the housing to an outside and is screwed to an external terminal. The screw receiving member overlaps with the fastening portion in a penetrating direction of the at least one screw insertion hole and is provided in proximity to the fastening portion. The at least one female screw member is provided integrally with or separately from the screw receiving member and is prevented from rotating by the screw receiving member.

This application discloses a circuit breaker and a power distribution box, and relates to the field of communication device technologies. The circuit breaker includes a housing, a control apparatus, and a current signal collection mechanism, an operating mechanism, and a contactor mechanism that are disposed in the housing. The current signal collection mechanism has a first fixed contact and a second fixed contact that are electrically connected. The operating mechanism has a rotating part and a first moving contact. The first moving contact is electrically connected to a first electrode cable inlet port of the circuit breaker. Rotating the rotating part may make a circuit between the first moving contact and the first fixed contact connected/disconnected.

High-voltage DC relay

A high-voltage DC relay of the present disclosure, including a housing, two main lead-out terminals, a main movable piece and a pushing rod component; and the relay further including two auxiliary lead-out terminals, an auxiliary movable spring, and an insulating partition plate, the two auxiliary lead-out terminals are respectively installed on the same side of a connecting line of the two main lead-out terminals corresponding to the top of the housing, and bottoms of the two auxiliary lead-out terminals are respectively located in the housing; the auxiliary movable spring is insulated from the movable assembly and fixed to the movable assembly through the insulating partition plate, so as to follow a movement of the movable assembly to achieve bridging with the two auxiliary lead-out terminals.

DIRECT CURRENT CONTACTOR AND VEHICLE

A direct current contactor includes a case and two groups of contact components disposed in the case. Each group of contact components includes two moving contacts connected to each other and two fixed contacts. The direct current contactor further includes a drive system configured to drive the moving contacts to move in a direction close to or away from the fixed contacts, so that the moving contacts are connected to or disconnected from the fixed contacts. The case has an arc-extinguishing cavity. A first baffle in the arc-extinguishing cavity divides the arc-extinguishing cavity into a first arc-extinguishing chamber and a second arc-extinguishing chamber. The contact components are respectively located in the first arc-extinguishing chamber and the second arc-extinguishing chamber. In other words, the two groups of contact components are integrated into two arc-extinguishing chambers of one arc-extinguishing cavity and perform connection/disconnection drive by using a single drive system.
