OPERATING MECHANISM FOR TRIPPING A VOLTAGE CIRCUIT BREAKER
An operating mechanism for tripping a circuit-breaker, the operating mechanism comprising a coil having a first terminal and a second terminal, means for generating a first electric impulse, and means for creating, from the first electric impulse, a second electric impulse delayed from the first electric impulse and applied between the first terminal and the second terminal of the coil, characterized in that the means for creating the second electric impulse comprise a delaying circuit and a switch connected in series with the coil, the delaying circuit having an input connected to an output of the means for generating a first electric impulse and an output which delivers the second electric impulse, said second electric impulse being a command signal of the switch.

CONFIGURABLE CIRCUIT-BREAKER
A circuit breaker is disclosed for interrupting an electrical circuit when current limit values are exceeded. The circuit-breaker includes a current sensor for determining the electrical current flow and a control device. When current limit values are exceeded, the electrical circuit is interrupted. A first current limit value, when exceeded, results in an immediate interruption and a second current limit value, when exceeded, results in a time-delayed interruption, such that the second interruption time reduces as the current increases. Only one control element is included for setting a current limit value. The element defining the second current limit value is included for the time-delayed interruption of the electrical circuit. The other parameters are either set in a fixed manner and/or are related to the settable second current limit value.

TRIPPING DEVICE FOR A CIRCUIT BREAKER
A trip device for a power circuit breaker has a trip element, a trip circuit with a trip coil, which, when energized, is configured to effect a movement of the trip element, and at least one electrical delay element, which can be connected to the trip circuit and reduces the rate of a rise in a current flowing in the trip coil once the trip circuit has been closed and/or delays a rise in a current flowing in the trip coil once the trip circuit has been closed.

System and method with timing self-configuration
A method of operating an automatic transfer switch to switch an electrical load from one power source to another power source includes measuring one or more characteristics of a switching circuit in the automatic transfer switch. A value of one or more timing variables is determined based on the measured characteristics of the switching circuit. The switching circuit is operated to close relays in the automatic transfer switch. The timing of closing of the relays is based on the value of the timing variables.
