Fuse box for battery of vehicle

A fuse box for a battery of a vehicle includes: a lower housing having a space in which a fuse is housed and a bus bar for electrically connecting the battery and the fuse is seated; a plate-shaped upper housing having a through hole formed at a central portion thereof and a first extending portion extending upward along a circumference of the through hole, where the upper housing is assembled on an upper side of the lower housing; and a fuse cover that is coupled to an upper side of the upper housing to cover the fuse exposed through the through hole of the upper housing.

Chip fuse and manufacturing method therefor

In a chip fuse, a heat-storing layer is formed on an insulated substrate, a fuse film is formed on the heat-storing layer, and a protective film is formed on the fuse element section. The chip fuse includes surface electrode sections on both ends in the length direction of the chip fuse and a fuse element section between the surface electrode sections. In this chip fuse, a rectangular bank section is formed over the heat-storing layer and the surface electrode sections to surround the fuse element section, and a first protective layer is formed on the inner side of the bank section. In addition, during the bank formation process, a sheet-like photosensitive-group-containing material is laminated on the fuse element section, surface electrode sections, and heat-storing layer, and the sheet-like photosensitive-group-containing material is exposed to ultraviolet light and developed to form the rectangular bank section.

Electronic unit having an assembly for limiting current

An electronic assembly, has at least one circuit board with conductor tracks, at least one current-limiting arrangement in the form of a thermal predetermined breaking point in at least one of the conductor tracks, and a fire-containment device in the region of the current-limiting arrangement.

SURFACE MOUNT FUSE

A surface mount fuse has a housing, a conductive fuse and a cover. The housing has an opening and a non-airtight interior space. The conductive fuse is disposed inside the non-airtight interior space. The cover covers the opening. Because the interior space of the housing is a non-airtight interior space and the conductive fuse is disposed inside the non-airtight interior space. The conductive fuse is not encapsulated by the materials with low thermal conductivity to avoid heat accumulation, so the conductive fuse may avoid the aging. Further, the internal atmospheric pressure and the external atmospheric pressure of the housing may be balanced. Therefore, the conductive fuse is not suffered from the pressure caused by the pressure difference between internal and external of the housing so that the reliability of the surface mount fuse is enhanced.

Pattern Fuse and Method of Manufacturing the Same

A pattern fuse includes a lower film layer, an adhesive layer stacked on the lower film layer, a circuit pattern made of a conductive material and provided on the adhesive layer, an upper film layer stacked on the adhesive layer and the circuit pattern and a coating layer configured to cover the opening of the upper film layer, wherein the coating layer includes a flame retardant material. The upper film layer has an opening formed therein that is configured to allow a part or the entirety of the circuit pattern to be exposed therethrough. A method of manufacturing the pattern fuse is also provided.

Multilayer printed circuit board via hole registration and accuracy

A method of making printed circuit board vias using a double drilling and plating method is disclosed. A first hole is drilled in a core, the first hole having a first diameter. The first hole is filled and/or plated with an electrically conductive material. A circuit pattern may be formed on one or two conductive layers of the core. A multilayer structure may then be formed including a plurality of cores that also include pre-drilled and plated via holes, wherein at least some of the pre-drilled and plated via holes are aligned with the first hole. A second hole is then drilled within the first hole and the aligned pre-drilled and plated holes, the second hole having a second diameter where the second diameter is smaller than the first diameter. A conductive material is then plated to an inner surface of the second hole.

Welded Composite Fuse Element and Method of Manufacture

The disclosed concept relates generally to overlay composite fuse elements, materials for their construction that include copper and silver metals, and methods of production and fabrication using metal stamping and ultrasonic welding processes. In certain embodiments, a composite overlay fuse element includes a composite metal material 37 constructed of silver and copper metals, which includes a plurality of strain absorbing bend features 39 constructed of copper metal, and a plurality of arc interrupting weak spot features 43 constructed of a silver metal portion and a copper metal portion. The silver and copper metal portions on each of the plurality of arc interrupting weak spot features 43 are connected by a weld joint surface 45 that is structured to form an overlay of the silver and copper metal portions.

Squirrel guard for high voltage insulator cover

For protecting wildlife from high voltage conductors proximate to a utility pole, dielectric covers are used to cover fuse cutouts, bushings, solid-blade disconnects, lightning arrestors, or other connections to insulators. Such covers include a vertical slot for receiving an energized wire so the cover can be installed using a hot-stick while the wire is energized. The vertical slot substantially faces the utility pole. To prevent squirrels storing nuts in the cover via the vertical slot, a squirrel guard is fitted over the top of the cover to block access to the vertical slot in the cover. The guard has a second vertical slot for receiving the wire so can be installed while the wire is energized. The guard may be customized for the particular cover used with it. Retaining pins secure the guard and cover in place.
