Systems and methods for a disconnect switch assembly having a reversible fuse support block

A reversible fuse support block includes a molding, a terminal, and a fuser interface. The molding may be installed within a housing in a first position and a second position, wherein the second position is rotated 180 degrees relative to the first position. The terminal couples to the molding and includes a plurality of apertures disposed in a pattern. The fuse interface receives a first end of a fuse. The fuse interface couples to the terminal in a first arrangement and a second arrangement such that when the fuse interface is installed in the first arrangement and the molding is installed in the first position, the fuse interface is disposed in substantially the same position relative to a corresponding fuse interface on a fuse support block as when the fuse interface is installed in the second arrangement and the molding is installed in the second position.

A fusible link having a high-rated terminal group and a low-rated fuse box are provided. The low-rated fuse box has a power-source-side terminal connected to an auxiliary terminal of the fusible link, a load-side connection terminal to be connected to a load side, a holder configured to hold the power-source-side terminal and the load-side connection terminals, and a low-current fuse configured to electrically connect, when attached to the holder in a detachable manner, the power-source-side terminal and the load-side connection terminals to each other.

In-line fuse assembly

An embodiment of an in-line fuse holder has been disclosed. The fuse holder includes a first terminal and a second terminal configured to cooperate with the first terminal in retaining a fuse between the first terminal and the second terminal, wherein each of the first and second terminals has a sidewall that defines a fuse-receiving socket, the sidewall having a plurality of apertures circumferentially spaced about the socket.

Compact fuse support

Method and apparatus for mounting fuses in switchgear and similar electrical isolation equipment provide a nonconductive fuse support that allows the fuses to be mounted separately from the transformers. Two such fuse supports may be used to support a fuse, one fuse support for each fuse terminal. Each fuse support may support two fuse terminals so dual fuses may be supported by the same pair of fuse supports. The fuse supports substantially surround the fuse terminals to provide an insulating barrier that helps prevent electrical discharge and also ensure sufficient spacing between the fuse terminals and ground or other conductors in the switchgear. Such an arrangement allows the fuses and transformers to fit within a reduced space in the switchgear and similar electrical isolation equipment while complying with industry-standard performance requirements. The fuse supports are preferably noncontiguous, thereby leaving the nonconductive portion of the fuse physically unsurrounded.

Fused T-splice wiring

A power distributor including a first conductive coupling device electrically coupled to a bare-wire non-terminating section of a first conduit. A second conductive coupling device is electrically coupled to a terminating end of a second conduit. The first conduit is a larger gauge than the second conduit. A fuse electrically connects the first conductive coupling device and the second conductive coupling device. A housing encases the first and second conductive coupling devices and the fuse.
