Actuation unit for a household appliance
An actuation unit for a household appliance, preferably an electrically drivable, household appliance, includes an actuation element, having an actuation element base. The actuation element has a protrusion portion extending from the actuation element base, which is inserted into a recess of an actuation button, such that the actuation element and the actuation button have, in an assembled state, a degree of freedom in a direction corresponding to the extension of the protrusion portion and in a further direction.
Trigger switch
A trigger switch may include a first urging member urging a trigger, a shaft including a first end attached to the trigger, a first movable member connected to a second end of the shaft, a second movable member, a second urging member located between the first movable member and the second movable member, and a contact portion to be in contact with the second movable member moved in a depressing direction. In response to a depressing operation on the trigger, the first movable member, the second movable member, and the second urging member move in the depressing direction until the second movable member comes in contact with the contact portion. In response to an additional depressing operation on the trigger with the second movable member in contact with the contact portion, the first movable member moves in the depressing direction, and the second urging member urges the first movable member.
SWITCH ACTUATOR
Embodiments included herein are directed towards an apparatus for actuating a switch of an operator control device, and related methods. Embodiments of the present disclosure may include a trigger shaped to mate with the operator control device. The trigger may include an integrated preload portion formed, at least in part, within the trigger. The trigger may further include an integrated actuator portion formed, at least in part, at an interfacing portion of the trigger. The integrated actuator portion may be configured to interface with the switch of the operator control device.
Variable-speed control assembly for an electric device
A variable-speed control assembly for use in controlling speed of an electric motor of an electric device, the variable-speed control assembly including: a housing; a speed signaling circuit module located within the housing including a pair of spaced-apart electrically-conductive stationary contact members and a movable electrically-conductive contact member configured for movement relative to the pair of stationary contact members between at least one of an OFF position in which the movable contact member does not electrically connect the pair of stationary contact members, and, a plurality of ON positions in which the movable contact member electrically connects the pair of stationary contact members such that an electric current supplied to the speed signaling circuit module from a power supply of the electric device is able to flow between the pair of stationary contact members via the movable contact member; wherein the movable contact member includes an elastically-deformable material configured for deforming in to a plurality of different deformed configurations when arranged in each of the plurality of ON positions such that a contact area between the movable contact member and the pair of stationary contact members will vary in each of the plurality of ON positions resulting in an amount of electrical resistance across the movable contact member varying when arranged in each of the plurality of ON positions relative to the pair of stationary contact members; and whereby said speed signaling circuit module is configured for producing different output electrical signals configured for use in controlling speed of operation of the electric motor by reference to the variable electrical resistance across the movable contact member when arranged in each of the ON positions.
Sliding switch contact structure
The invention relates to an electrical switch (30) for an electrical appliance (2), in particular for a power tool, which has at least two switching contacts (34, 36), which can be jointly moved between a switched-off position (38), in which the switching contacts (34, 36) have no electrical connection to a counter contact (42) of the switch (30), and a switched-on position (40), in which the switching contacts (34, 36) are electrically connected to the counter contact (42). To maintain a contact resistance of the switch (30) at a largely constant value over the service life, it is proposed to arrange and/or design the switching contacts (34, 36) and/or the counter contact (42) such that, when the switch (30) transitions between the switched-off position (38) and the switched-on position (40), the switching contacts (34, 36) successively enter into electrical contact with the counter contact (42) or successively break the electrical contact.
Integrated electronic switch and control module for a power tool
An electronic switch and control module for a power tool having an electric motor is provided. The module includes a module housing including a bottom surface, side walls, and an open face, a printed circuit board (PCB) received from the open face of the module housing and securely disposed within the module housing at a distance from the bottom surface of the module housing; power switches mounted on a top surface of the PCB, and heat sinks discretely arranged and each mounted over a respective one of the plurality of power switches and secured to the top surface of the PCB to transfer heat away from the power switch through the open face of the module housing. The module further includes an input unit having conductive tracks disposed on the PCB and an electro-mechanical element engaging the plurality of conductive tracks, the input unit generating a signal for controlling a switching operation of the plurality of power switches, and a controller mounted on the PCB configured to control the switching operation of the power switches based on the signal from the input unit.
Electric hand tool having a discrete operating element
An electric hand tool has an electric consumer, a movable operating element and a control unit for controlling a current flow between the energy store and the consumer on the basis of the position of the operating element. The control unit is constructed separately from the operating element and the mechanical position of the operating element is converted into an electrical control signal in the control unit.
Electric switch
An electric switch, in particular for manually operated electric tools or appliances with an electric motor, is switchable from outside by means of a plunger. A changeover device is provided for setting the direction of rotation of the electric motor, which changeover device can be activated for example by a tappet arranged on the outside. The switch is constructed very compactly, which simplifies the sealing of a switch of this type.
