Circuit interrupter
A circuit interrupter includes: a first fixed terminal including a first fixed contact; a movable contactor which is formed as a separate part from the first fixed terminal and includes a first movable contact; a holding unit configured to hold the movable contactor so that the first movable contact is connected to the first fixed contact; and a squib configured to generate gas by combustion. In the circuit interrupter, pressure of the gas generated by the squib causes movement of the movable contactor in a direction away from the first fixed terminal so that the first movable contact is separated from the first fixed contact.
Switching device and switching arrangement
A switching device includes: a first and a second fixed contact; a contact bridge; a first movable contact and a second movable contact that are arranged at the contact bridge; a first terminal contact on which the first fixed contact is mounted; and a second terminal contact on which the second fixed contact is mounted. The first fixed contact is in contact with the first movable contact and the second fixed contact is in contact with the second movable contact in a switched-on state of the switching device. The first fixed contact is free of contact with the first movable contact and the second fixed contact is free of contact with the second movable contact in a switched-off state of the switching device. A path of a load current flowing through the contact bridge between the first and second movable contacts in the switched-on state extends in a first plane.
CONTACTOR DEVICE, ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A CONTACTOR DEVICE
The present invention relates to a contactor device for high voltage applications, an energy storage system comprising the contactor device and a corresponding method for controlling the contactor device. A contactor device (100) comprises at least one fixed contact (106), at least one moveable contact (108), which is configured to move between an open position and a closed position, wherein in the closed position, the at least one moveable contact (108) electrically contacts the at least one fixed contact (106), and at least one first actuator (110, 120), which is configured to reversibly move the at least one moveable contact between the open position and the closed position. The contactor device (100) further comprises at least one second actuator (202) which is configured to move the at least one fixed contact (106) into a fired position, wherein in the fired position, the at least one fixed contact (106) is permanently disconnected from the at least one moveable contact (108).
RELAY
A base of a relay has a leg extending in a contact/separation direction between contacts, and the leg is configured to come into contact with a yoke when the base is incorporated into a case. The leg is spaced away from an upper part of an armature by a distance. This distance is determined so that an upper surface of the armature does not come into contact with the leg in a normal operation of the armature, but the upper surface of the armature comes into contact with a lower surface of the leg when the armature jumps up beyond a movable range thereof due to, for example, a strong impact applied to a vehicle on which the relay is mounted.
Extinguishing Chamber of Magnetic Blow-Out Type For An Electrical Breaking Device And Electrical Breaking Device Equipped With Such A Chamber
An extinguishing chamber of magnetic blow-out type for a breaking device includes a field source, a magnetic carcass and a breaking region, in which an electric arc is liable to form when a breaking pole belonging to the breaking device is opened. The field source is arranged to generate a magnetic field intended to move the electric arc in order to stretch it and accelerate its cooling and its extinguishing. The carcass is arranged to channel the magnetic field. The carcass is stood up against the field source and closes in front thereof so as to create an air gap in the magnetic circuit formed by the field source and the carcass and to thus maximize the magnetic field that passes through the breaking region.

Switch device with improved permanent magnetic arc extinction
Disclosed is a switch device with at least one contact point and a permanent magnetic arc blowing device which is paired with the contact point, wherein the arc blowing device has at least one second permanent magnet (15) as an auxiliary magnet, and the auxiliary magnet is arranged in the direct vicinity of the contact point (7.1), such that at least one section of the magnetic field (17) of the auxiliary magnet (15) amplifies the blow-out field in the transition region.
Contact unit for supplying vehicles with power and related method
The invention relates to a contact unit and to a method for steering electric arcs on a contact unit, in particular for supplying vehicles with power via an overhead wire (20), the contact unit comprising a sliding contact device (19), the sliding contact device having a contact strip support (21) and a contact strip (22) disposed thereon, the contact unit having a steering device (24) for electric arcs (25) which is disposed on the contact unit, the steering device being provided with a magnet (30).
Switching device and method for operating a switching device
A switching device includes: a first terminal contact; a first fixed contact arranged at the first terminal contact; a contact bridge; a contact bridge carrier arranged at the contact bridge and having a barrier; a first movable contact arranged at the contact bridge; a second terminal contact; a second fixed contact arranged at the second terminal contact; a second movable contact arranged at the contact bridge; and a magnetic drive assembly including a coil and an armature, the armature being coupled to the contact bridge. The first fixed contact is in contact with the first movable contact in a switched-on state of the switching device. The first fixed contact is free of contact with the first movable contact in a switched-off state of the switching device. The second fixed contact is in contact with the second movable contact in the switched-on state of the switching device.
ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY
An electromagnetic relay includes a housing, a fixed contact, a fixed terminal, and a movable contact. The fixed contact and the movable contact are disposed in the housing. The movable contact faces the fixed contact. The fixed contact is connected to the fixed terminal. The fixed terminal includes a contact support portion, a first arc guide, and a second arc guide. The contact support portion supports the fixed contact. The first arc guide extends from the contact support portion. The first arc guide includes a tip that projects outward of the housing.
