MASS SPECTROMETRY DEVICE AND MASS SPECTROMETRY METHOD
A mass spectrometry device includes a sample stage, an irradiator, a MCP, a fluorescent body, an imager, and a controller. The irradiator irradiates a sample with an energy beam to ionize a plurality of components of the sample while maintaining position information of the plurality of components. The MCP emits electrons in accordance with an ionized sample. The fluorescent body emits fluorescent light in accordance with the electrons. The imager has a shutter mechanism configured to be capable of switching an open state and a close state. The controller controls an opening and closing operation of the shutter mechanism. The controller allows the imager to image the fluorescent light corresponding to each of the plurality of components by performing the opening and closing of the shutter mechanism at a timing for each of the components.
Digital shutter control for bright flash recover in night vision equipment
A methodology, for night vision equipment, includes enabling an automatic brightness control (ABC) procedure for a light intensifier having a photocathode that automatically selects a voltage to be applied to the photocathode, sensing current being drawn by the anode, when the current being drawn by the anode exceeds a predetermined threshold, shutting down the photocathode, disabling the ABC procedure, and storing, as a stored voltage value, a value of a voltage that had been selected by the ABC procedure when the current exceeded the predetermined threshold. After a first predetermined period of time, applying a voltage to the photocathode in accordance with the stored voltage value, and after a second predetermined period of time re-enabling the ABC procedure and selecting the stored voltage value as the voltage to be applied to the photocathode.

Apparatus, method and system for the calibration of a streak camera
The present disclosure claims an apparatus, a method and a system for the calibration of a streak camera. A plurality of fiber optic cables is bundled together such that the input ends and the output ends of the fibers are grouped together. Each fiber in the bundle has a distinct and characteristic time taken for light to traverse from the input end to the output end known by the observer. This characteristic time depends on the physical and optical properties of the fibers selected. Calibration light is collected by the fiber input face and travels through the individual fibers in a characteristic time. Individual light pulses will subsequently be detected by the streak camera which converts the time profile of the incoming light pulses into a spatial profile. An observer can compare the observed spatial separation profile to an expected spatial separation profile for calibration.
