A height of the surrounding wall is equal to or more than a height of a ceiling wall of the processing apparatus and is so as not to interfere with the cassette held by a carrier that travels.
Method of transferring micro device using micro device transfer head
A method of transferring a micro device using a micro device transfer head is provided. The micro device transfer head includes a base arm, a first side arm and a second side arm, and the micro device is fabricated on a substrate. The method includes moving the first side arm within a sensing range of the micro device, charging the first side arm for drawing the micro device away from the substrate to move towards a space between the first side arm and the second side arm, and shortening a distance between the first side arm and the second side arm for clamping the micro device.
CARRIER WITH VERTICAL GRID FOR SUPPORTING SUBSTRATES IN COATER
Various embodiments herein relate to carriers for supporting one or more substrate as the substrates are passed through a processing apparatus. In many cases, the substrates are oriented in a vertical manner. The carrier may include a frame and vertical support bars that secure the glass to the frame. The carrier may lack horizontal support bars. The carrier may allow for thermal expansion and contraction of the substrates, without any need to provide precise gaps between adjacent pairs of substrates. The carriers described herein substantially reduce the risk of breaking the processing apparatus and substrates, thereby achieving a more efficient process. Certain embodiments herein relate to methods of loading substrates onto a carrier.
INTERLAYER TRANSFER APPARATUS AND ARTICLE TRANSFER SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME
An article transfer system includes a plurality of stage modules respectively provided at a plurality of layers, an interlayer transfer apparatus configured to transfer an article to each of the plurality of stage modules, and a plurality of loading and unloading apparatus respectively provided on each stage module of the plurality of stage modules, the plurality of loading and unloading apparatus configured to load an article onto respective stage modules of the plurality of stage modules. The interlayer transfer apparatus includes a mast frame extending so as to intersect each stage module of the plurality of stage modules, and a plurality of carriage units configured to move along a length direction of the mast frame, transfer articles, and move in a parallel manner with each other.
Substrate accommodating unit and maintenance method for vacuum transfer unit in substrate transfer apparatus
A substrate accommodating unit is disposed adjacent to each of consecutively arranged vacuum transfer units. The substrate accommodating unit includes a hollow housing having, on one sidewall in an arrangement direction of the vacuum transfer units, a loading/unloading port for loading/unloading a substrate into/from the adjacent vacuum transfer unit, a vertically movable partition member disposed in the housing, and a driving mechanism for vertically moving the partition member. When an inner space of the housing is divided horizontally into a first space on a loading/unloading port side and a second space on an opposite side of the loading/unloading port side, the partition member is vertically moved from a state where the first space and the second space communicate with each other to thereby airtightly separate the first space and the second space with the partition member.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR IMPROVING TRANSFER EFFICIENCY OF AN AUTOMATED MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEM
Methods and systems for improving the efficiency of an automated material handling system (AMHS) include providing an apparatus operatively coupled to a load port of a processing apparatus, where the apparatus is configured to remove a first work-in-process from the load port and to move the first work-in-process along a first direction to displace the first work-in-progress from the load port while a second work-in-progress is transferred to the load port from an AMHS vehicle along a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction, and transferring the first work-in-progress to an AMHS vehicle along the second direction. The methods and systems may be used for loading and unloading wafer storage containers, such as front opening unified pods (FOUPs), in a semiconductor fabrication facility.
Substrate processing apparatus and substrate processing method
A substrate processing apparatus includes a carrier block on which a carrier configured to store a substrate is placed, first processing block including a plurality of first processing modules, and a first transport mechanism shared by the plurality of first processing modules to transport the substrate, second processing block overlapping the first processing block, including a plurality of second processing modules, and a second transport mechanism shared by the plurality of second processing modules to transport the substrate, and configured to transport the substrate to the carrier block. The substrate processing apparatus includes a lifting and transferring mechanism including a shaft extending in a horizontal direction and a support part configured to face and support the substrate, and a rotation mechanism configured to rotate the support part around the shaft such that an orientation of the support part is changed between a first orientation and the second position.
