ESD PROTECTION DEVICE
An electrostatic discharge (ESD), protection device is provided. In accordance with the present disclosure, an ESD protection device is provided that includes a series connection of a first unit having strong snapback and low series capacitance and a second high-voltage unit that displays a relatively high holding/trigger voltage to ensure latch up and improper triggering of the ESD protection device while at the same time providing high-voltage operation with low capacitive loading.

An encapsulant is around the substrate including on at least a portion of the topside and at least a portion of the bottomside of the package. At least a second device including at least two device terminals is flip-chip attached and stacked on the first device. At least one of the first device and second device include a transistor. At least one metal clip is between the first device and second device including a plurality of clip portions isolated from one another connecting at least one device terminal of each of the first device and second device to respective metal terminals of the plurality of metal terminals.

Method of manufacturing semiconductor having double-sided substrate
Provided is a method of manufacturing a semiconductor having a double-sided substrate including preparing a first substrate on which a specific pattern is formed to enable electrical connection, preparing at least one semiconductor chip bonded to a metal post, bonding the at least one semiconductor chip to the first substrate, bonding a second substrate to the metal post, forming a package housing by packaging the first substrate and the second substrate to expose a lead frame, and forming terminal leads toward the outside of the package housing. Accordingly, the semiconductor chip and the metal post are previously joined to each other and are respectively bonded to the first substrate and the second substrate so that damage generated while bonding the semiconductor chip may be minimized and electrical properties and reliability of the semiconductor chip may be improved.
APPARATUSES FOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS TRANSCEIVER INTERFACES
An integrated circuit device for protecting circuits from transient electrical events is disclosed. An integrated circuit device includes a semiconductor substrate having formed therein a bidirectional semiconductor rectifier (SCR) having a cathode/anode electrically connected to a first terminal and an anode/cathode electrically connected to a second terminal. The integrated circuit device additionally includes a plurality of metallization levels formed above the semiconductor substrate. The integrated circuit device further includes a triggering device formed in the semiconductor substrate on a first side and adjacent to the bidirectional SCR. The triggering device includes one or more of a bipolar junction transistor (BJT) or an avalanche PN diode, where a first device terminal of the triggering device is commonly connected to the T1 with the K/A, and where a second device terminal of the triggering device is electrically connected to a central region of the bidirectional SCR through one or more of the metallization levels.

An exemplary printable composition of a liquid or gel suspension of diodes generally includes a plurality of diodes, a first solvent and/or a viscosity modifier. An exemplary apparatus may include: a plurality of diodes; at least a trace amount of a first solvent; and a polymeric or resin film at least partially surrounding each diode of the plurality of diodes. Various exemplary diodes have a lateral dimension between about 10 to 50 microns and about 5 to 25 microns in height. Other embodiments may also include a plurality of substantially chemically inert particles having a range of sizes between about 10 to about 50 microns.

An exemplary printable composition of a liquid or gel suspension of diodes generally includes a plurality of diodes, a first solvent and/or a viscosity modifier. An exemplary apparatus may include: a plurality of diodes; at least a trace amount of a first solvent; and a polymeric or resin film at least partially surrounding each diode of the plurality of diodes. Various exemplary diodes have a lateral dimension between about 10 to 50 microns and about 5 to 25 microns in height. Other embodiments may also include a plurality of substantially chemically inert particles having a range of sizes between about 10 to about 50 microns.

In some embodiments, a semiconductor device is provided, including a first doped region of a first conductivity type configured as a first terminal of a first diode, a second doped region of a second conductivity type configured as a second terminal of the first diode, wherein the first and second doped regions are coupled to a first voltage terminal; a first well of the first conductivity type surrounding the first and second doped regions in a layout view; a third doped region of the first conductivity type configured as a first terminal, coupled to an input/output pad, of a second diode; and a second well of the second conductivity type surrounding the third doped region in the layout view. The second and third doped regions, the first well, and the second well are configured as a first electrostatic discharge path between the I/O pad and the first voltage terminal.
