LOW-FLOOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE
The invention provides for a high occupancy or heavy-duty vehicle with a battery propulsion power source, which may include lithium titanate batteries. The vehicle may be all-battery or may be a hybrid, and may have a composite body. The vehicle battery system may be housed within the floor of the vehicle and may have different groupings and arrangements.
BATTERY PACK
Embodiments of the invention provide a battery pack including a pack body and a plurality of terminals. The pack body has first and second main surfaces that are opposed to each other in a first axis direction, first and second end surfaces that are opposed to each other in a second axis direction orthogonal to the first axis direction, and first and second side surfaces that are opposed to each other in a third axis direction orthogonal to the first axis direction and the second axis direction. The plurality of terminals includes a positive terminal, a negative terminal, a temperature detection terminal, and a control terminal that are arranged on the first end surface along the third axis direction. The negative terminal is arranged between the temperature detection terminal and the control terminal and closer to the control terminal than the temperature detection terminal.
TERMINAL ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A terminal assembly includes a male terminal structure and a female terminal structure. The male terminal structure includes a male terminal body, a first terminal member, and a free terminal member. The first terminal member is disposed at the male terminal body. The free terminal member is disposed at the male terminal body and detachably in contact with the first terminal member. The female terminal structure includes a female terminal body, an extension portion, a tunnel, a second terminal member, and a secured terminal member. The extension portion is protruding from the female terminal body. The tunnel is recessed from the extension portion. The second terminal member is disposed at the female terminal body and received in the tunnel. The secured terminal member is disposed at the female terminal body, spaced from the second terminal member, and disposed on the extension portion.

An apparatus for storing one or more battery modules (100) comprising a containment tray (300, 500, 700, 1000) defined by opposing front and back faces (314, 316, 714, 716, 1014, 1016), opposing side faces (318, 718, 1018), and opposing top and bottom surfaces (310, 312, 522, 532, 710, 712 1010, 1011, 1012) oriented perpendicular to the front, back, and side faces, wherein the containment tray has a receiving area (302, 518, 702, 1002) formed in the top surface for receiving one or more battery modules, the receiving area comprising a receiving surface (320, 520, 720, 1020) oriented parallel to and located between the opposing top and bottom surfaces for supporting the one or more battery modules.

BATTERY MODULE FOR A SYSTEM FOR THE STORAGE OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY FOR AN ELECTRIC DRIVE VEHICLE
A battery module for a system for the storage of electrical energy for an electric drive vehicle. The battery module has: a group of chemical batteries arranged parallel to and beside one another; at least two connection plates which rest against opposite ends of the group of chemical batteries so as to electrically connect the poles of the chemical batteries to one another; two support bodies coupled to opposite ends of the group of chemical batteries so as to provide the chemical batteries with a stable mechanical support; two lids, which are coupled to the support bodies so as to create respective collecting chambers having at least one draining opening; and at least two tie rods, which are arranged on opposite sides of the battery module and tie together the lids and the support bodies in a packed manner.
ASSEMBLED BATTERY AND BATTERY PACK USING THE SAME
There are provided an assembled battery and a battery pack having excellent cycle characteristics with respect to high rate charging and discharging. An assembled battery according to an embodiment includes at least one first single cell and at least one second single cell that are connected in series. The first single cell includes a positive electrode containing an active material represented by the general formula LiMO.sub.2 (M includes at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Co, and Mn) and a negative electrode including a titanium-containing oxide. The second single cell includes a positive electrode containing an active material represented by the general formula LiM′PO.sub.4 (M′ includes at least one element selected from the group consisting of Fe, Mn, Co, and Ni) and a negative electrode including a titanium-containing oxide. The ratio of a charging resistance of the second single cell to a charging resistance of the first single cell is 1 or more and 1.5 or less if an open circuit voltage when the at least one first single cell and the at least one second single cell are connected in series is 4.5 V.

BATTERY MODULE AND BATTERY PACK INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed is a battery module, including a cartridge laminate including a plurality of secondary batteries, each having an electrode lead, and a plurality of cartridges configured to respectively accommodate at least one secondary battery among the secondary batteries and stacked at multi stages; an integrated circuit board (ICB) housing having a bus bar connected to the electrode lead at a predetermined connection point and coupled to one surface of the cartridge laminate; and a sensing unit having a connection wire disposed to pass through the ICB housing and connected to the bus bar to allow voltages of the secondary batteries to be sensed, wherein the ICB housing further includes a wire fixing unit having a wire fixing recess formed by indenting an outer surface of the ICB housing toward an inner surface of the ICB housing to be located near the inner surface of the ICB housing in comparison to the connection point, and at least a part of the connection wire is inserted into and fixed in the wire fixing recess.
LITHIUM ION BATTERY MODULE
A lithium-ion battery module includes a housing having a plurality of partitions configured to define a plurality of compartments within a housing. The battery module also includes a lithium-ion cell element provided in each of the compartments of the housing. The battery module further includes a cover coupled to the housing and configured to route electrolyte into each of the compartments. The cover is also configured to seal the compartments of the housing.
